We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith and trust in His perfect plan for your life. You’ve asked for prayer as you prepare for this job interview, and we lift you up, asking that the Lord’s will be done in every detail. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that you would walk into that interview with confidence, not in your own strength, but in the knowledge that God goes before you and orders your steps.
Father, we ask that You grant our brother/sister wisdom and clarity as they answer questions. May their words reflect Your truth and their demeanor reflect Your peace. If it is Your will for them to receive this job, we pray that the doors would swing wide open with favor. But if this is not the path You have for them, we ask that You soften their heart and help them to trust in Your provision. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let that promise sink deep into their spirit.
We also pray against any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to creep in. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Let them feel Your presence with them, calming their nerves and reminding them that their worth is not defined by this job, but by who they are in Christ.
Lord, if this job is not the right fit, we ask that You close the door gently and open another that leads to even greater opportunities. Help them to rest in Your timing and to remember that You are their provider. Philippians 4:19 says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We declare that truth over their life today.
Finally, we rebuke any doubt or discouragement that may try to take root if things don’t go as hoped. Remind them that Your plans are always good, even when they don’t align with our own. We pray that they would walk away from this experience with a deeper trust in You, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
