We hear your heartfelt cry for guidance and protection as you step into this new season of your internship. Your reliance on Jesus is evident, and we join you in seeking His will for every step you take. The Lord goes before you indeed, as He promises in Deuteronomy 31:8, "He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid or discouraged." We pray that you would walk in the confidence of His presence, knowing that He is your shield and your guide.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would go before our brother/sister as they begin this internship. Lord, You know every detail of this opportunity—every challenge, every conversation, and every decision that will be made. We ask that You would order their steps according to Your Word, as Psalm 37:23 tells us, "A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way." Let Your Holy Spirit lead them in wisdom, discernment, and grace. Hide them from every scheme of the enemy, for we know that "the wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming" (Psalm 37:12-13). Cover them with the blood of Jesus and surround them with Your angels for protection.
Lord, we also pray for favor in the eyes of those they will meet. May their words and actions reflect Your love and kindness, so that others may see Christ in them. Give them the discernment to know what to say and do, and what to avoid, as Proverbs 16:23 reminds us, "The heart of the wise instructs his mouth, and adds learning to his lips." Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, so that they may remain calm and composed in every situation. Let Your grace be evident in their interactions, and may they be a vessel of Your blessings to those around them.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or insecurity that may try to creep in. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this internship will be a time of growth, learning, and blessing, not just for our brother/sister, but for those they will encounter. May they pass forward the knowledge, grace, peace, kindness, and love they receive from You, Lord, so that others may be drawn to Your light.
Lastly, we encourage you to remain rooted in God’s Word and in prayer throughout this season. Meditate on scriptures that speak to God’s faithfulness and provision, and trust that He will equip you for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17). Walk in the assurance that you are never alone, for Jesus has promised, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). May this internship be a stepping stone to greater things God has prepared for you, and may His name be glorified in all you do. Amen.
