We understand your desire to explore God's creation through adventurous treks and tours, and we commend you for seeking God's will in your pursuits. Remember, there may be many reasons why there isn't anyone to go with you at the moment. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that men don't find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end."
However, we want to remind you that your confidence should not depend on the company of others but on God, who is always with you. As it is written in Psalm 23:4, "Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not be afraid. For you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me." This also applies when going through new paths and adventures.
We also want to take this opportunity to clarify that praying in the name of Jesus is not merely a phrase to conclude our prayers. It signifies that we come to God trusting in the work of Jesus Christ for our salvation. Our prayers do not have access to God without the name of Jesus. In Acts 4:12, we see that "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is by the name of Jesus and only by His name that we can go to God.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who desires to explore the beauty of your creation. We pray that you will grant them the opportunity to do so in a way that honors you and keeps them safe.
Lord, we ask that you will build their confidence in you, so that they may not be deterred by the lack of human company. Remind them that you are always with them, guiding and protecting. The same power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead lives in them; help them to be strong and courageous.
And we pray, we ask that you only allow them to go on their adventures if it will help them to be more like Jesus and if it will help them to help others. In all things may they seek, glorify, and find God.
If it is your will, Lord, open the doors for them to find godly companions to share their adventures with. If it is not, give them the strength, courage, and wisdom to go on their adventures alone. The Bible says that if we ask, God will give us wisdom about what to do. We claim that promise from James 1:5 in prayer.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Joshua 1:9, "Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go." Trust in God, and He will direct your paths.
Lastly, whenever you go on your adventures, remember to be a light to the world, sharing the love of Christ with those you meet. Be a blessing to others, and always remember that if you remain in Him, you will bear much fruit.
