We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family situation before the Lord. The Bible is clear that witchcraft is an abomination to God, and those who practice it are in direct rebellion against His holy will. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Word of God declares, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." This family is entangled in darkness, and we must stand in the gap, wielding the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain.
First, we must address the fact that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to true deliverance. If any in this family have not surrendered their lives to Him, they remain under the power of sin and the enemy. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray that the eyes of their hearts be opened to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus died for their sins, rose again, and offers freedom from the bondage of witchcraft and all forms of darkness. Without Christ, there is no lasting victory.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come against every spirit of witchcraft that has taken hold in this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, has already defeated every principality and power of darkness. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We bind every demonic influence, every curse, and every ungodly soul tie that has been formed through these practices. We loose the power of the Holy Spirit to move in this situation, bringing conviction, repentance, and deliverance.
Lord, we ask that You send laborers into this family—believers who are strong in faith and grounded in Your Word—to minister Your truth and love. Let the light of Christ expose the darkness, and let those involved in witchcraft be set free by the power of Your name. We pray for their salvation, that they would turn from these evil practices and surrender their lives to You. In James 4:7, You promise, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We declare that as they submit to You, the enemy will have no choice but to flee.
We also pray for protection over the believers in this family. The enemy seeks to divide, discourage, and destroy, but we stand on Your promise in Psalm 91:10-11, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace reign in their hearts. Strengthen them to stand firm in faith, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Holy Spirit, we ask that You move in power, bringing a spirit of repentance and a hunger for righteousness. Let this family experience the freedom that comes only through Jesus Christ. We declare that every chain is broken, every curse is nullified, and every stronghold is demolished in the name of Jesus. May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, no longer bound by the lies of the enemy but living in the truth of Your Word.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
