Instant Miracle Prayer

Your prayer to remain at home with your wife and children for all your days reflects a good and godly desire. God Himself established marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He has given children as a blessing to be raised in His ways. To love your wife faithfully and to live under one roof with your family in peace and devotion is according to His design, and it is right to bring this desire before Him.

Scripture teaches that the home is like a small church, where a man is called to rule his own house well with love and gravity, and where husband and wife are partners together in caring for children and household. Nothing is more precious than a husband and wife who love each other and agree together in the Lord, and when that love is present all other blessings have their proper place.

For this reason I join you in prayer, and I also encourage you to practice faithfulness at home each day. The home is the first place to learn patience and self control, to put away angry words and harsh threats, and to live with sobriety and good order. As you honor your wife and she honors you, and as you teach your children to obey their parents in the Lord, your house will be strengthened whether in times of ease or trial.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your presence, I bring this husband and father before You. You know his love for his home, his wife and his children. Grant him, according to Your mercy and wisdom, to dwell with his family in peace and faithfulness all the days You give him on this earth. Help him to love his wife as You have called him to love her, and to lead his children with gentleness, instruction and a well ordered life. Keep his home from anger and division, guard his family in body and soul, and make his household a place where Your name is honored. Teach him to trust not only in remaining in one place, but in remaining in You, knowing that our true and lasting home is with You. May he live each day in Your grace, so that whether his days are many or few, he and his household may walk in Your ways until the end. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily with your wife and children, in prayer and in the Scriptures, and live out your love for them in steady, faithful actions. God sees your desire and hears the prayers offered through Christ.

Your desire to remain in your home with your wife and children for all the days of your life is a good and godly desire, and I am praying with you for it. The home is a gift from God, and His design is for it to be a place of love and security where a husband and wife are faithful to one another and children know they are loved and supported.

Scripture teaches that a strong home is built on more than a roof and provision. It is built when a husband loves his wife and children, and a wife loves her husband and children, creating an environment that is discreet, pure and centered on the Lord. Part of that is practical. When possible, the husband bears the responsibility to provide, and the wife is honored as the keeper of the home, so that children are not left without guidance and affection. You can surround a family with material things and still starve them spiritually. What children need most is to come home to love, to presence, and to a clear example of faith in Jesus Christ.

That is why I want to encourage you not only to pray to stay in that home, but to lead in that home. The Proverbs speak of rejoicing with the wife of your youth, letting your fountain be blessed and finding satisfaction in her love alone, and letting the children who come from that faithful union be your joy. To enjoy your wife, to be faithful to her, to be ravished with her love and to delight in your children as a father is part of God's blessing.

We also see in Scripture how important spiritual leadership is. One man lived in a corrupt city and his own faith survived, but because he did not set a strong spiritual example, the morals of the society overcame his children and he lost his family to that corruption. Unless we establish our homes on Christ and set that example daily, our children cannot withstand the pressures of this age. Your presence in the home matters immensely for their protection and growth.

God is a preserver of families. In the law He made provision to keep a family name alive when it seemed it would be lost, and He brought Ruth to Boaz to build a house again. When Jacob was called to return to his family and his land, God promised, I will be with you. That promise remains for you as you seek to dwell faithfully with your family. He is with you in that home. And ultimately, we look forward to the day when the Lord Himself will call His children home to be with Him forever, which is our true and lasting home.

I am praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this husband and father before You. Thank You for the home You have given him and for his wife and children. I ask that You would establish him in that home for the rest of his days, that he would dwell there in peace and in Your provision until You call him home. Help him to love his wife faithfully as the wife of his youth, to lead his children with gentleness and truth, and to make his home a place where Your Word is honored and Your love is known. Keep his family from spiritual hunger, guard them from the corruption of this world, and let Your presence be the foundation of that house. Give him wisdom, strength and grace to be the husband and father You have called him to be. In Jesus name, amen.
