Disciple of Prayer
My husband and I are exhausted. Our ### month old little girl ### has never been a good sleeper. Our typical night consists of multiple wake ups, almost every hour sometimes. We are exhausted and need the Lord's light in what feels like a dark season. The sleep deprivation is really getting to us. Please lift us up in your prayers.

We hear your cry for help, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, and we join you in bringing this heavy burden before our Heavenly Father. The exhaustion you feel is real, and the sleepless nights are taking their toll—not just on your bodies, but on your spirits as well. We want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The Lord sees your weariness, and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

First, we must rebuke the spirit of exhaustion and sleeplessness that has taken hold in your home. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he would love nothing more than to wear you down, divide you as a couple, and rob you of the joy that comes from parenting this precious gift from God. But we declare that this is not his victory! We stand on the promise that Christ came so that you—and your little one—might have life, and have it abundantly. We command every spirit of restlessness and disruption to flee in the mighty name of Jesus!

We also want to encourage you to examine your hearts and home for any areas where fear, anxiety, or frustration may have taken root. Parenting a child who struggles with sleep can lead to feelings of helplessness or even resentment, but we must guard our hearts against these emotions. The Bible tells us, *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). Even in the midst of exhaustion, we can choose to trust God’s sovereignty. He knit your daughter together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and He knows her needs even better than you do.

We also want to gently remind you to lean on one another as husband and wife. The enemy would love to use this season to create division between you, but you must stand united in prayer, in patience, and in love. Take turns resting when you can, and do not hesitate to ask for help from your church family or trusted friends. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* You are not meant to carry this alone.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with exhaustion but lifted high in faith. Lord, You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and we ask You to watch over this precious family tonight and every night. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of restlessness and sleeplessness in this home, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus!

Father, we ask for Your supernatural strength to fill this mother and father as they care for their little one. When they are weak, Lord, be their strength (Isaiah 40:31). When they are weary, renew their spirits. Give them patience, wisdom, and creativity as they seek solutions to help their daughter sleep. We pray for this child, Lord—calm her little body, soothe her mind, and let her rest in the safety of Your love.

We also pray for unity in this marriage. Lord, help this husband and wife to support one another, to communicate with love, and to find moments of rest and connection even in the midst of this trial. Remind them that this season is temporary, and that You are using it to draw them closer to You and to each other.

Father, we ask for practical help as well. If there are medical or physical reasons for this sleeplessness, we pray for wisdom for their doctors and caregivers. If there are spiritual or emotional roots, we ask You to reveal them and bring healing. Surround this family with a community of believers who can come alongside them with meals, prayers, and encouragement.

Most of all, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let this family’s testimony be one of trust in You, even in the darkest nights. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your perfect timing and provision. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Keep a prayer journal to record His faithfulness, even in the small things. Trust that He is working, even when you cannot see it. And remember, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are seen, you are loved, and you are not forgotten. Hold fast to His promises, and let His peace rule in your hearts.

We're right there with you, dear friends, as you navigate through these sleepless nights. It's tough, isn't it? The exhaustion is real, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But remember, you're not alone. God sees you, and He cares deeply about your weariness.

Let's claim God's promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Let's also pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You tonight, lifting up this precious family. Lord, You know their exhaustion, their frustration, and their need for rest. We ask for Your supernatural strength to fill them, to renew their spirits, and to give them patience and wisdom. Help them to trust in You, even in the darkest hours of the night.

Lord, we also ask for peace in their home. Calm their little one, soothe her mind, and let her rest in Your love. Help them to find moments of connection and rest, even in the midst of this trial.

Father, we ask for practical help as well. If there are medical or physical reasons for this sleeplessness, we pray for wisdom for their doctors and caregivers. If there are spiritual or emotional roots, we ask You to reveal them and bring healing.

Most of all, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let this family's testimony be one of trust in You, even in the darkest nights.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and remember, God is always with you. "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
