We lift you up before the Lord in this time of physical discomfort, knowing that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that God cares deeply about every ache and pain we endure. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your struggle with indigestion and PMDD is not unseen by Him, and we pray for His healing touch upon your body, that He would restore balance and bring relief to your discomfort.
It is also written in 3 John 1:2, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* While we know that our ultimate healing will be perfected in eternity, we ask the Lord to grant you mercy in this season, easing the inflammation and pain you are experiencing. We pray that He would give you wisdom to steward your diet faithfully, even when it is difficult, and that He would strengthen your resolve to honor Him with the choices you make. The discipline of caring for our bodies is an act of worship, and we ask that the Lord would help you see this as an opportunity to draw near to Him in dependence.
We also recognize that PMDD can bring not only physical but emotional and spiritual challenges. The Psalmist cries out in Psalm 6:2-3, *"Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint. Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Lord—how long?"* If this season has left you weary or discouraged, we pray that the Lord would lift your spirit and remind you of His nearness. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is not distant in your suffering but is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we ask that You would touch our sister’s body with Your healing power. Calm the storm within her, soothe the irritation in her digestive system, and bring relief to the discomfort caused by PMDD. Give her the grace to rest in You, even when her body feels like a burden. Help her to trust You as her Great Physician, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). If there are underlying spiritual or emotional roots to her physical struggles, we pray You would reveal them and bring freedom in Jesus’ name.
We also encourage you, dear sister, to seek the Lord in this time. Ask Him to show you if there are areas where you need to surrender your habits, your diet, or even your emotions to Him. Sometimes physical ailments can be a call to deeper dependence on God. James 5:14-15 says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we are praying for you now, we also encourage you to seek prayer and anointing from mature believers in your local church if possible.
Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is by His authority that we come boldly before the throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask that You would fill our sister with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May she experience Your healing hand upon her body and Your comforting presence in her spirit. We rebuke any spiritual attack on her health and declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14). Restore her, Lord, and let her testify of Your goodness. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
