Daniel 12:4 (NLT)
"But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.”
"Seal up the scroll." If anything in my assignment is relevant to that instruction, it is the "due season" factor. Yet, not wanting to endure suffering (who does?) that, along with the Nineveh analogy, has been several shepherds' assessment of my assignment. But it is not God's instruction. How do I know? Manifestations
The more closely related Daniel 12:4 simile is the prophetic message at the end of that verse. Indeed, in this day and age, especially with the availability of the internet, there is overwhelming access to knowledge. Therefore, many more, now approaching the scriptures, are increasing in knowledge. But, along with increased knowledge must be understanding, which leads to increased reverence for God, rather than leverage in chasing after the world's goods [Isaiah 58:2-4].
Isaiah 30 (NLT)
⁸Now go and write down these words. Write them in a book. They will stand until the end of time as a witness ⁹that these people are stubborn rebels who refuse to pay attention to the LORD’s instructions. ¹⁰They tell the seers, “Stop seeing visions!” They tell the prophets, “Don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies."
True repentance is not a displayed facade (i.e., sackcloth), it is a sincere change in behavior and dedication to godly living [Isaiah Ch.58]. I have no reason to lie, nor have I been deceived: neither by the devil nor God. The prophecy stands because the behavior in this city remains the same.

WHIRLWIND!!!
Micah 2 (NLT)
⁶“Don’t say such things,” the people respond. “Don’t prophesy like that. Such disasters will never come our way!” ⁷Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the LORD’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.
Biblical truth is that the multitude almost always chose the false prophets. We must remember that both John, The Baptist and Jesus (the foremost prophets) were rejected. Some people argue that Jesus was persecuted for speaking peace. While, for the most part, that is true, people oftentimes use that as a loosely veiled attempt to absolve themselves for taking part in wrongdoing. The truth is, as soon as Jesus said "No" to His hometown, He became enemy #1, so much so that they plotted to throw Him off a cliff. God is not mocked:
Matthew 25:45 (NLT)
“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me."
The most important help that this city could have given me, after having stumbled at the Stone in other areas, would've been to simply further Christ's ministry by getting me to my appointed destination. But instead, having chosen her counsel, she opted for vengeance and violence in response to prophecy. Therefore, she must be content with such that her counsel's instruction has rendered.
Mine is not a Nineveh assignment. Nineveh wasn't even Jonah's hometown, which factors in to why they were, not only willing to listen to him, but likewise REPENT. Nineveh exhibited a genuine change in behavior at Jonah's preaching. Nevertheless, while neither man's interference nor assertion define my ministry, the following passages do indeed sum up God's instructions for my assignment.
Revelation 1:19 (NLT)
“Write down what you have seen—both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen."
Revelation 22:10 (NLT)
Then he instructed me, “Do not seal up the prophetic words in this book, for the time is near."
Those who belong to God seek not to control Him, such is to chase the wind. But rather, SURRENDER TO HIM for therein lies LEGITIMACY.
Sports Afterthought: Now what sense does it make that a city marches around, walking 2-by-2, all wearing the same colors, warring in the spirit seeking to win a game; and, if they win, that somehow makes them right with God. But, at the same time if the other team wins, the devil is at work against them. And heaven forbid if their team gets swept, then something truly evil is afoot. Even though their team has swept others. Make it make sense. Seems a bit hypocritical. All teams and fans want the same thing. What matters with God is how you get it (2 Tim 2:5).
