We hear your cry for justice and fairness in this matter of income and possessions. The Word of God is clear that we should not steal or withhold what rightfully belongs to another. "You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor" (Leviticus 19:11 WEB). It is a grave sin to take what is not yours or to deny someone what is rightfully theirs.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for this situation is not hidden from You. You see all things, and You are a God of justice. We ask that You move in this circumstance to bring about righteousness. Lord, we pray that the heart of the one withholding what is rightfully owed would be softened and convicted by Your Holy Spirit. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, making right what has been wronged. We rebuke any spirit of greed, selfishness, or deceit that may be at work in this situation. May Your truth prevail, and may justice be served according to Your will.
We also lift up the one who has been wronged. Lord, we ask that You provide for their needs and grant them peace in the midst of this trial. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their Provider. "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1 WEB). Help them to trust in You and to wait patiently for Your justice to be done.
If there has been any bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment in your heart, we encourage you to release it to the Lord. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). Forgiveness does not mean what was done was right, but it frees your heart from the burden of anger and allows God to work in His way and time.
We also urge you to seek wise counsel and take appropriate steps to resolve this matter in a godly manner. If necessary, involve trusted spiritual leaders or legal authorities who can help mediate and bring about a just resolution. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18 WEB).
Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us, and we trust in Your perfect justice. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
