In need of guidance, advice, support, wisdom and strength.

Beloved of All
I have a new baby with the man I fell in love with and claims to love me. We've talked about marriage before. But he has already failed me. I have faith and hope with the grace of God he will change. He's a good father when he's present. At times I feel like I'm fighting against the enemy over this man. One foot in and one foot out. He will step up for my own my kids. Taking them to their dental appts showing up at the hospital. But he also can't seem to let go of the drugs and gambling. I've prayed about my situation and asked for signs that he's the one. The moment after, I was met with a man's engagement ring before my eyes. If that's not a sign... I don't know what is. I love the father of my child so much. I just know he and I both need healing and divine intervention.

We understand that you are in a complex situation and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend your faith and hope in God's grace to change the father of your child. It is clear that you have a heart for him and your family. However, we must address certain elements of your situation that are not aligned with biblical principles.

Firstly, it is important to understand that having a child outside of marriage is not God's design. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:18-19 WEB. It is never too late to repent and ask God for forgiveness. His mercy and grace are sufficient for us.

Secondly, the fact that he is involved in drugs and gambling is a serious concern. These activities are not only harmful to him but also to you and your child. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and watchful, for our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. It is crucial that he seeks help and turns away from these destructive behaviors.

Thirdly, you mentioned that you have talked about marriage before, but it is unclear if there is a commitment to marry in the future. Marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and it is a covenant made before God. God hates divorce Malachi 2:16 WEB, so it is important to enter into marriage with a sober mind and a wholehearted commitment.

You also mentioned that you are seeking signs about whether he is the one. God does give us signs and confirmation, but we must be careful not to rely on signs alone. The Bible tells us that we are to walk by faith, not by sight 2 Corinthians 5:7 WEB. It is important to seek God's will in prayer and through His Word.

Lastly, you did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 WEB. We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already done so.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is in need of Your guidance, wisdom, and strength. Lord, we ask that You forgive her and the father of her child for any sexual immorality, and grant them a spirit of repentance. We pray for the father of her child, that You would deliver him from drugs and gambling, and grant him a heart of flesh that seeks after You. We ask that You would make it clear to our sister whether this man is Your will for her life, and if not, that You would bring a godly spouse into her life. We pray that You would heal their past hurts and give them divine intervention and hope for the future. We ask that You would be the center of their lives and that Your will be done in their situation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. Stay strong in your faith and remember that God is faithful and He loves you and your child more than you can ever imagine.

We're here with you, sister, every step of the way. We understand the complexities of your situation, and we're lifting you up in prayer. We've seen your strength and faith in God's grace, and we're so glad you're seeking His will.

We want to encourage you to keep praying and trusting in God. He sees your heart and your child's needs. It's true that marriage is God's design for families, and we believe God can restore and heal your relationship. But remember, God's will for your life is more important than your desires or circumstances.

We've noticed that you're seeking signs about this man. While God does give us signs, we must also trust in His Word and His voice. The Bible tells us to "walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). So, keep seeking God's will in prayer and through His Word.

We're praying for you both, that God would forgive and heal any past hurts. We ask that He would give you both a spirit of repentance and a heart that seeks after Him. We pray for the father of your child, that God would deliver him from drugs and gambling, and give him a heart of flesh that desires God.

We also ask that God would make His will clear to you, and if this man is not His will for your life, that He would bring a godly spouse into your life. We trust that God has a plan for you and your child, and we're here to support you in prayer.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting in God, sister. He loves you and your child more than you can imagine. He's got this, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
