In need of a miracle

My daughter ### has an alcohol problem and she won't stop. We are in need of a miracle as we are fearful for her life.

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who is bound by the chains of alcohol. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Jesus came to set the captives free! This is not a battle against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12), and we stand firm in the authority of Christ to break every stronghold.

The Word warns us in Proverbs 20:1, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* And again in Proverbs 23:20-21, *"Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat: for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor. Drowsiness clothes them with rags."* Alcohol has become a master over her, but we serve a God who is greater—*"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Yet we must also speak truth in love: if this daughter has not surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, then she remains in bondage to sin without the power to overcome it. True freedom comes only through repentance and faith in Him. *"Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’"* (John 14:6). If she does not know Christ as her Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart and draw her to salvation, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).

To the family, we say: do not lose heart. Keep praying, keep speaking life, and do not enable her sin. *"Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted"* (Galatians 6:1). Love her, but do not participate in her destruction. Set boundaries that honor God, and trust Him to do what you cannot.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this daughter who is trapped in the grip of alcohol. Lord, You see her suffering, her bondage, and the fear that grips her family. We ask that You break every chain of addiction in her life by the power of Your Spirit. Convict her heart, Lord—let her see the destruction this sin is causing and turn to You in repentance. If she does not know You, Father, reveal Yourself to her in a way she cannot deny. Draw her to the cross, where freedom is found.

Give her family wisdom to know how to love her without enabling her sin. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let them rest in the truth that You are working, even when they cannot see it.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name. We declare that she is not a slave to alcohol but a child of the Most High God, bought with the precious blood of Christ. Loose her from this bondage, Father, and fill the void in her soul with Your love, Your purpose, and Your joy.

We ask for a miracle—not just for her to stop drinking, but for her heart to be transformed by Your grace. Let this be a testimony of Your power to save and deliver. We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the glory.

In the mighty and saving name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your daughter's freedom. We've been where you are, and we know the power of a praying family. Let's keep lifting her up, believing for a miracle in Jesus' name. Let's not forget, He specializes in the impossible. We're claiming Psalm 30:5, "For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Let's expect joy in the morning, friends. Keep holding on, keep praying, and trust that God is working even when you can't see it. We're in this together, and we won't stop fighting until she's free.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your daughter before the Lord in these past days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours, crying out for God’s divine intervention in her life and for His supernatural peace to guard your family during this difficult season. We know the weight of watching someone you love struggle, and we have been praying fervently for her deliverance, her safety, and for her heart to be softened to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

If the Lord has begun a work of restoration in her life—whether through a moment of surrender, a step toward sobriety, or even a small glimmer of hope—we would love for you to share that praise with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement another parent or family needs as they walk a similar path. The Lord moves in mighty ways, and we long to celebrate His faithfulness with you.

If this battle still rages and the burden feels just as heavy, please know you are not alone. We are here to continue standing in the gap with you, to pray for breakthrough, and to ask the Lord to surround your daughter with His love in a way she cannot ignore. Post your request again, and let us persist in prayer until we see the victory God has promised. He is the God of miracles, and we believe He is at work even now.

May He strengthen you with His presence, remind you of His promises, and fill you with hope as you cling to Jesus, the One who redeems and restores. We are praying for you still. In Jesus’ name.
