We understand that you're feeling trapped and frustrated in your current situation. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is with you even in this difficult time. As it says in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, "...Be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you.'"
While it's understandable that you're struggling with the rules and staff behavior, we want to encourage you to lean on Jesus during this time. It's important to remember that the rules are likely in place for your wellbeing and recovery. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." This doesn't mean you have to be thankful for the difficult situation, but rather that you can find moments of gratitude even in the midst of trial.
Regarding the behavior of the staff, it's important to remember that we are called to love and pray for those who treat us poorly. As it says in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Let's pray together:
"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you today to lift up our brother/sister who is feeling trapped and frustrated. We pray for your comfort and peace to surround them in this difficult time. We pray for the staff at the hospital, that their hearts would be softened and that they would treat our brother/sister with kindness and respect. We pray for our brother's/sister's recovery, that it would be swift and complete. And we pray that they would feel your presence with them every step of the way.
We also pray that our brother/sister would come to fully put their trust in you, Jesus, if they have not already. That they would know their sins are forgiven through faith in your death and resurrection, and that they would know the power of your name. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.'"
Lastly, we want to encourage you to use this time to draw closer to God. Seek Him in prayer, and read the Bible. We were not able to find any appropriate scriptures to address the ban on alcohol, but we can pray that Jesus will preserve you and be your strength in whatever you are going through. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and you are not your own. You were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. As it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
