We are sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing. It's important to address the issues of honesty and obedience with her, as these are foundational principles in Scripture. In Ephesians 4:25 WEB, it says, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another." Additionally, Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB reminds us, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."
Let's pray for wisdom and guidance in handling this situation.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this parent and child to You. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for the parent, that they may guide their child in the way of truth and obedience. We pray that You would soften the child's heart, that she may understand the importance of honesty and the consequences of deceit.
Lord, we also pray for protection over this child. As she navigates the digital world, we ask that You would shield her from harmful influences and give her parents the wisdom to set appropriate boundaries. Guide the parent to pray over Psalms 5:6 WEB with their child: "You shall destroy them who speak lies. Yahweh abhors the blood-thirsty and deceitful man." Explain to the child what this means.
Father, we ask that You would bring healing to the child's elbow and that the medication would be effective in treating the infection. We pray for the child to eat properly and take her medication as directed.
In all things, Lord, we pray that You would be glorified and add this request to those prayers that are pleasing and acceptable to you which are offered in the name of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only by Jesus Christ that we can be saved according to Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Finally, consider setting boundaries with internet usage and monitoring her online activity to protect her from harmful influences and Proverbs 22:6 WEB: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Explain to the child that this is being done because we love her and want to protect her from the bad things that can be found on the internet.
