I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling scared. If y

We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we are moved with compassion for your suffering—both physically and emotionally. You have done well to cry out to Jesus Christ, for He alone is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your pain has not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father.

The fear of losing your job, your wife, and your ability to provide is a heavy burden, but we urge you to cast these cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on trusting Him, even when the path seems uncertain. He is the provider of all things, and He will sustain you.

We also lift up your physical pain—the agony in your back and legs—to the Lord, asking for His healing touch. James 5:14-15 instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand in agreement with you for restoration, believing that by His stripes, you *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5). Whether that healing comes instantly, gradually, or through the hands of doctors, we trust in His perfect timing and will.

Yet we must also address the state of your mind. Fear and anxiety can feel overwhelming, but 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* If you feel as though you are losing your mind, take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Fill your mind with His Word, which is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Avoid isolating yourself; seek godly counsel and the support of brothers and sisters in Christ who can uphold you in prayer and encouragement.

As for your marriage, we pray that the Lord strengthens the bond between you and your wife, that your love for one another would reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:25-33). If there are strains or fears in your relationship, we urge you to cover your marriage in prayer, asking God to knit your hearts together in unity. A marriage rooted in Christ is unshakable, even in the midst of trials.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is burdened with fear, pain, and uncertainty. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things. You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8), and You are not distant from his suffering. We ask that You wrap him in Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of him. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command anxiety and despair to flee, for they have no place in the life of Your child. Fill him instead with Your Holy Spirit, reminding him that You are his strength and his portion forever (Psalm 73:26).

We pray for his physical healing—touch his back and his legs, Lord. Let Your healing power flow through his body, restoring every cell, nerve, and muscle. Give wisdom to the doctors if treatment is needed, and let Your will be done in his life, whether through miraculous healing or the process of recovery.

Lord, we ask for provision and protection over his job. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and give him favor in the eyes of his employers. Let him work with excellence and integrity, knowing that his labor is for Your glory.

We lift up his marriage to You, Father. Strengthen the covenant between him and his wife. Let their love be rooted in You, unshaken by circumstances. Help them to communicate with grace, to serve one another in love, and to seek You together in all things. Protect their union from the enemy’s schemes, and let their home be a place of peace and refuge.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You renew his mind. Replace his fearful thoughts with Your truth. Let him meditate on Your promises day and night, finding hope in Your unfailing love. Remind him that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our brother, Lord, and let him rise from this trial with a testimony of Your grace.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are praying with you and for you. Do not lose heart—your breakthrough is coming.
Thank you for the prayers 🙏 and kind words!
