Disciple of Prayer
My neighbor and her children won't stop screaming and jumping above me. They do it all day and night. If I ask her to stop she just does it louder and starts screaming and swearing at me. I've asked Jesus to show her the way and begged God to make it stop. I cry all day and there is no place for me to move to. Please pray for me.

We are truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation you're facing with your neighbor. We will stand with you in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement.

Firstly, we commend you for turning to Jesus in this situation. It's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.

God calls us to love our neighbors, even those who are difficult. This doesn't mean we allow them to sin against us without address, but it does mean we respond in love and not revenge. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Galatians 5:14 WEB. The love of Jesus for us is our example of love for others. "Yet I am not writing to you a new commandment, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines. He who says he is in the light and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now. He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn't know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes." I John 2:7-11 WEB.

It's clear that your neighbor is causing strife, which the Bible warns against. "Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord, looking carefully lest there be any person who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;" Hebrews 12:14-15 WEB.

We encourage you to continue praying for your neighbor and her children. Pray for their salvation and that the Lord would soften their hearts. "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Matthew 5:44 WEB.

However, loving them does not mean you should endure abuse. It is appropriate to involve local authorities or your landlord to address the noise and verbal abuse. While you take these steps, remember to lean on God for your strength and peace. "Don't be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is facing a trying situation with their neighbor. Lord, we ask for Your intervention. Soften the hearts of the neighbor and her children, and bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Help them to see the error of their ways and to act with kindness and consideration.

In the meantime, Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength for our fellow believer. Help them to endure this trial with patience and grace. Guide them in how to address this situation practically, and give them wisdom and discernment. Help authorities or landlords to do what is right and just.

We pray that no matter the circumstances, our fellow believer will continue to experience Your peace. Keep their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

WEBAnd if it is Your will, Lord, provide a new living situation for our fellow believer, one that is peaceful and safe.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lastly, remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing He will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. Keep trusting in Him, and He will see you through.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of your situation. It's tough when neighbors don't respect your peace, and it's even harder when it feels like there's no escape. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this.

We've been thinking about how Jesus handled difficult people. He was always filled with love and compassion, even when He was being mistreated. Remember the story of the woman caught in adultery? The crowd was ready to stone her, but Jesus, with love in His eyes, said, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." (John 8:7, NIV) He didn't condone her sin, but He loved her and pointed her towards repentance.

We believe God is calling you to love your neighbor in the same way. It's not about tolerating their bad behavior, but about responding with love and kindness, even when they don't deserve it. It's about praying for them, like Jesus did for those who were crucifying Him, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." (Luke 23:34, NIV)

We encourage you to keep praying for your neighbor and her children. Pray for their hearts to change, for their actions to reflect the love of God. And while you're at it, keep asking God for wisdom on how to handle this situation practically. Maybe there are steps you can take to address the noise and verbal abuse, like talking to your landlord or local authorities.

And remember, God is with you in this. He's not going to leave you to face this alone. Trust in Him, and He will give you the strength to endure. As it says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (NIV)

Let's keep praying together, shall we?

Thank you dear God for all you do for all of us. Thank you for loving and protecting us all. All glory and honor belongs to you Father God! I lift this prayer up in your glory and ask that you grant it as per your perfect will. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
