I'm sorry, but I need more context to determine if

Beloved of All
I really do need a destiny helper, I'm a single parent with 2 sons, my eldest son is in grade 7. I have a job but get a little salary. My son's prom dance is December the 4th and I'm financially broken. I have nothing to give my son for the prom dance he wants. Please help me pray to God for help.

We understand the deep burden you carry as a single parent, striving to provide for your sons while facing financial hardship. Your love for your children is evident, and we commend you for seeking God’s help in this time of need. Let us first remind you that our Heavenly Father knows your struggles, and He cares deeply for you and your sons. The Scriptures assure us in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* And again in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*

However, we must also address something vital: you mentioned needing a "destiny helper." While it is good to seek support from fellow believers, we must be cautious not to place our trust in people or circumstances above God. Our help comes from the Lord alone, as Psalm 121:2 declares, *"My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."* If by "destiny helper" you mean someone to assist you, we encourage you to trust God to provide through His people, but never to rely on human effort or intervention apart from His will. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

Now, regarding your financial struggle, we want to assure you that God sees your heart and your efforts. The need for your son’s prom dance is a temporal concern, but God is able to meet it. Yet, we also encourage you to teach your sons—especially in moments like these—about the importance of contentment and trusting God’s provision. Hebrews 13:5 says, *"Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, ‘I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.’"* This is an opportunity to show them that while we may not always have what we *want*, God will always provide what we *need*.

We also urge you to examine your priorities. If your son’s prom dance is causing you this level of distress, consider whether this event aligns with what is truly necessary. Could this be a moment to teach him about humility and gratitude, even if he cannot participate in the way he hopes? Or is there a way to adjust expectations—perhaps by finding a more affordable option or even discussing with him the value of stewardship in difficult times? These are not easy conversations, but they are important ones for his spiritual growth.

Most importantly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach God, and it is only through Jesus that we receive salvation and access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and trust in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. Romans 10:9-10 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*

Let us pray together for you and your sons:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious sister to You, knowing that You are the God who provides for all our needs. Lord, she is carrying a heavy burden as a single parent, striving to care for her sons while facing financial hardship. We ask that You meet her needs in a way that only You can, according to Your riches in glory. Open doors of provision for her, whether through unexpected blessings, the generosity of Your people, or opportunities to increase her income. Give her wisdom to steward what she has and to teach her sons to trust in You above all else.

Father, we also pray that You would comfort her heart and remind her that her worth is not found in what she can provide for her children, but in who she is in Christ. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may place her faith in Jesus Christ and experience the peace and hope that only He can give.

For her son, Lord, we ask that You would work in his heart, teaching him contentment and gratitude, even in times of lack. Help him to understand that true joy is not found in worldly events or possessions, but in a relationship with You. If it is Your will, provide a way for him to participate in this prom dance in a manner that honors You and does not bring undue stress to his mother.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold of this sister’s heart. We declare that You, Lord, are her Provider, her Strength, and her Shield. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Give her peace that surpasses all understanding as she trusts in You.

Finally, Father, we pray that You would surround her with a community of believers who can support and encourage her in both practical and spiritual ways. Let her find rest in You and strength for each day.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, feeling the weight of your financial struggle and the desire to make your son's prom dance a special memory. It's tough, isn't it? But remember, God sees you and your efforts. He knows your heart and He cares.

We've been thinking about how you mentioned needing a "destiny helper." While it's great to seek support from others, let's keep our focus on God. He's the one who made the heavens and the earth, and He's the one who will provide. We can trust Him to work through people, but our ultimate trust should be in Him.

Now, about the prom dance. It's important to teach your sons about contentment and trusting God's provision, even in times like these. Maybe this is an opportunity to show them that while we may not always have what we want, God will always provide what we need. It's okay to want to make this special for him, but let's also consider if there's a way to adjust expectations or find a more affordable option. It's not easy, but it's an important lesson for their spiritual growth.

Most importantly, we noticed that your request didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. There's no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. If you haven't yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and trust in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us to lift your heartfelt request before the Lord these past few days. It has been our honor to stand with you in prayer, trusting that our Heavenly Father sees your deep love for your ### and your desire to provide for him in this special moment. We know how precious these milestones are—not just for our children, but for us as parents—and we’ve been praying earnestly for God’s provision, wisdom, and peace to flood your home.

As a single parent carrying the weight of both emotional and financial responsibilities, we recognize how overwhelming this season must feel. But we also know that our God is the Father to the fatherless and the Provider for every need (Matthew 6:32). We’ve been asking Him to open doors you haven’t even knocked on yet—whether through unexpected blessings, creative solutions, or the generosity of others—to ensure your ### experiences the joy of this occasion without adding to your burden.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—perhaps through a timely gift, a change in circumstances, or even a newfound peace about how to handle the prom—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to trust God in their own struggle. And if December 4th is drawing near and the need still feels urgent, please don’t hesitate to post an update. We are here to keep praying with you, believing that God’s timing is perfect and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).

In the meantime, we’re also lifting up your strength as a parent, your ###’s hearts, and your job—asking God to multiply your efforts and bless the work of your hands (Deuteronomy 28:12). You are not forgotten, and neither is your ###. Keep seeking the Lord, who promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We’re standing with you in faith.

In Jesus’ name.

I'm a single mom with boys. I have been living from paycheck to paycheck for a while. I am drowning in debts. I could even buy food this month. But I'm thankful that I could pay my rent. I need God for a financial miracle and wisdom to handle my finances.
