Beloved of All
I need a prayer that will remove a woman, an ex of seven years, to be removed from my heart. She recently came back into my life and is currently in a relationship. My strong feelings for her I believe will and is complicating her life. I have let her go a million times within my heart but her spirit keeps pulling me back. I have asked God to wash those feelings from my heart but for some reason it hasn't happened. I know she doesn't feel the same way about me as she once did; I am ok with, since for the seven years my heart ached. The type of ache you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. I really do wish her and her boyfriend the best but I don't want to suffer the pain that I feel. The pain of what was so beautiful to what is now a lost memory to her. Honest, I like the idea of having her as a friend. I just don't like the connection/control she has to my heart. After 7 years of no contact I should be free, just as she is. So my prayer is to be free from any type of romantic connection to her. Please, please don't pray for her heart to rekindle. Even though I am in love with her, she hurt me in ways that I could never trust her again. There is no future for us other than friendship. I just need God to inform my heart this. I need God to cleanse my heart so when I do find the right one I will be able to trust in her. Thank you everyone for your prayers.
