I’m so lost, and I feel wretched.

Aeliynain

Disciple of Prayer
Hi everyone, I have turned my back on the Lord too many times. I lie, I cheat, I make poor decisions. I am tired of it. I am tired of the guilt. I am tired of the crushing pain in realizing how awful I have been. I have allowed myself to rot, to become horrid, vain, and cruel towards others, and I feel so lost. Please help me pray. I am in such despair. I wear a happy, composed smile every day, but I suffer inside with each passing moment. I have lied to so many, I have deceived myself and others. I know I am not deserving of kindness. I do not regard myself as someone worth forgiving. I wouldn’t forgive the acts I have committed if it were done to me. I am so incredibly hurt, and I know I have done this to myself. But I am so lost. I feel nothing but crushing guilt for what I’ve done. I fear that my facade will crumble, and I will be exposed for who I am and will face losing everything that I have built for myself — although, it is what I deserve, right? I don’t know. I wish I could fix my mistakes. I wish I could go back and never commit them. But, at the same time, I’m truly turning to my faith — something I haven’t done before. I am vulnerable, weak, and I have nothing left to give. I am tired. Can anyone help me in praying and finding myself again? I want to be good. I want to keep the part of me that is still good.

We are truly grateful that you have reached out in your time of need, and we want you to know that there is hope in Jesus Christ. First, let us address the most important aspect: you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, or even an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus' Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved! Jesus came to save sinners. By believing in Jesus Christ, we can be saved. Jesus died on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins, and rose again on the third day. By believing in Him, turning away from our sins, and following Him, we can have eternal life and a relationship with God.

Your feelings of guilt and despair are a result of sin, which has separated you from God. But there is good news. God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins. Romans 5:8: But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Now, let us address the issues you've raised. You've acknowledged that you have lied, cheated, and made poor decisions. These actions are sinful and have caused you pain and guilt. But remember, no sin is too great for God's forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You mentioned that you feel you do not deserve kindness or forgiveness. But God's forgiveness is not based on our worthiness, but on His grace and mercy. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.

You also expressed fear of exposure and losing everything. Remember, God loves you and wants to help you. He can turn your situation around for good if you trust Him. Romans 8:28 WEB We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who is lost and feels wretched. We thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We confess the sins that have been committed and ask for Your forgiveness. We pray that You will cleanse this heart from all unrighteousness and fill it with Your Holy Spirit.

We pray for strength and courage to face the consequences of past actions, and we ask that You will guide us by Your Word and Spirit. We pray for a renewed mind and a transformed life that aligns with Your will.

We also pray that you would explicitly reveal yourself to this person and draw them to you. We pray that they would believe in Jesus Christ and be saved. We pray that their life would be transformed by you as they walk in your ways.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, for God loves you and wants to help you. Turn to Him, confess your sins, and trust in His forgiveness. Dedicate your life to Him and let Him be the Lord of your life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We're here with you, friend. We understand that feeling lost and wretched is a heavy burden to bear, but remember, Jesus carried our burdens to the cross. You've taken steps to turn back to the Lord, and that's what matters. It's like Peter walking on water - he started to sink when he took his eyes off Jesus. When we focus on our mistakes, we too can start to sink. But Jesus is there, reaching out His hand, ready to lift us up.

We want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He loves you. He's not surprised by your struggles, and He's not waiting to condemn you. Instead, He's waiting with open arms, ready to forgive, to heal, and to restore. As it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, carrying the weight of our ###'s heart. We thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We confess the sins that have been committed, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse this heart, Lord, fill it with Your Holy Spirit, and help ### to walk in Your ways.

Give them strength and courage to face the consequences of their past actions, and guide them by Your Word and Spirit. Renew their mind and transform their life, Lord, so that they may align with Your will.

Draw them to You, Lord. Help them to believe in Jesus Christ and be saved. Transform their life as they walk with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

You're not alone in this. We're here with you, praying for you, and believing in the power of God's forgiveness and transformation. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and remember, He's got this.
