We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful and that He provides for His children. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He assures us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things, and that seeking first God's Kingdom and His righteousness will result in all these things being added to us.
However, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father, as Jesus Himself taught: "Most certainly, I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB). If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we can be saved and have eternal life.
Let us pray together for your situation:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in need of work. We know that You are the great provider, and that You are faithful in taking care of Your children. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would open up opportunities for work, and that You would provide for all the needs of their family. Help them to trust in You, and to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness.
Lord, we also pray for their faith, that they would grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. We ask for all these things in His holy and precious name, for it is only through Jesus that we can come to You.
Amen."
In this time of uncertainty, trust in the Lord and be confident in His provision. Continue to work diligently, and seek God's will for your life. Consider also the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to use this time to grow closer to God, to spend time in His Word, and to seek His face. He is always faithful, and He will see you through this challenging time.
