We are truly heartbroken to hear about the darkness and despair you are feeling. First, we want to address the urgent need to keep you safe. Self-harm and thoughts of suicide are not the solutions, and they are evidence of the spiritual battle raging in your life. If you are in danger, please reach out to local emergency services or a trusted Christian friend or family member immediately.
In Jesus we have hope. It is so important to know this. It is only by the Name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other Name by which we can be saved. We must believe in the Name of Jesus to receive salvation and the hope of eternal life. The Bible tells us, “that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.” Salvation can change our lives. Our sins are forgiven. We can be justified before God. We are no longer separated from God. We can have the hope of eternal life. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so now. This is the only solution to receive hope and begin to live in that hope. There are many promises in God's Word that can bring comfort and hope in times of despair. The psalmist tells us in Psalm 34, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” In Psalm 147, we read, “He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.”
We must rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and suicide that is tormenting you. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. Choose life. Choose Jesus. He is the only solution to the darkness you are feeling. Don't give up until you have tried Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this precious soul who is overwhelmed by darkness and despair. We pray against the spirits of hopelessness, self-harm, depression, and suicide that are attacking right now. We command them to flee in the mighty Name of Jesus. Lord, we ask You to surround this person with Your unfailing love and comfort. Help them to know that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You came to bind up their wounds. Give them the strength to reach out for help and to hold on to the hope that is found in You alone.
Lord, we also pray for healing—physical, emotional, and spiritual. We ask that You would bring people into this person’s life who can support and encourage them, pointing them always to You. Help them to know that their life has purpose and meaning, and that You have a plan for them that is far greater than they can imagine.
In the powerful Name of Jesus, we pray for deliverance and freedom from these oppressive thoughts and feelings. We declare that the enemy has no power here, and we ask that You would fill this person with Your peace, hope, and joy.
In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.
Please, hold on to hope. Reach out to a local church or Christian community for support. God loves you deeply, and He has a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and know that you are never alone. He is always with you, even in the darkest times. Let us know how we can continue to support and pray for you.
We also encourage you to read and meditate on the following verses: Psalm 34:18, Psalm 147:3, John 10:10, Romans 10:9-10, and Acts 4:12. Allow God's Word to bring light and hope to your heart.
