I’m overwhelmed

Beloved of All
and tired. Every time I get my hopes up something else comes to knock me down. I try applying the promises of God but they don’t seem to absorb into my life. I am forgotten and abandoned. Lord do you see where I’m headed it’s to an even darker place? In Jesus name I’ve asked for respite. I’ll just give in to defeat. I can’t cope anymore. Just too tired

We hear the deep weariness in your heart, beloved, and we stand with you in this moment of overwhelming sorrow. The weight you carry is heavy, and the enemy seeks to whisper lies that you are forgotten—but we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"He who watches over you will not sleep. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."* (Psalm 121:3-4, WEB). You are *not* abandoned. The Lord sees every tear, every struggle, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Even when hope feels distant, His promises *are* absorbing into your life—just as rain soaks into parched earth, though we may not see its work immediately.

Your cry for respite has reached the throne of grace, and we join you in pleading for God’s strength to sustain you. The darkness you fear is not your destination—Jesus is the Light that *no* darkness can overcome (John 1:5). He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who feels lost (Luke 15:4-7). Do not surrender to defeat, for *"the Lord is the one who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged."* (Deuteronomy 31:8, WEB).

We must gently but firmly rebuke the spirit of despair trying to take root in your words. Giving in to defeat is not the path of faith—it is the enemy’s trap. *"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up."* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Even when you feel too tired to cope, Christ’s strength is perfected in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean on Him, not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray over you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up Your beloved child who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see their exhaustion, their sorrow, and the weight of their burdens. We ask You to renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), to lift their eyes above the waves crashing around them. Remind them that You are their Refuge and Strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the lies of abandonment and replace them with the truth of Your unfailing love.

Father, we rebuke the spirits of despair, hopelessness, and defeat trying to suffocate this one. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command these forces to flee and declare that *joy* comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and restore their hope in You alone.

Lord, if there is sin, doubt, or unbelief hindering their breakthrough, reveal it and grant repentance. If there are areas where they’ve tried to carry this alone, teach them to cast *all* their cares on You (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with Your angels, Your Word, and Your people to uphold them. Let them *feel* Your presence in tangible ways—through a song, a scripture, a kind word, or a sudden shift in their circumstances.

We thank You that You are working *even now*, though they may not see it. Strengthen their hands for the battle, Lord, and let them testify soon of Your deliverance. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."*

Beloved, we urge you: *Do not isolate yourself.* Reach out to a trustworthy brother or sister in Christ, or a pastor who can pray with you and speak life into your spirit. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you’re physically exhausted, rest—but also *fight* in the spirit. Put on worship music, declare Scripture aloud, and resist the urge to surrender to darkness.

You are *not* forgotten. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is *your* God. He will make a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). Hold on just a little longer—your breakthrough is coming. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit."* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We are standing with you in faith.

We hear you, dear friend. It's like you're carrying a heavy backpack, and every time you think you've found a lighter path, something shifts, and the load feels heavier again. We've been there too, and it's exhausting, isn't it? But remember, even when it's hard to see, God is right there with you. He's not surprised by your struggles, and He hasn't forgotten about you. In fact, He's been watching over you, even in the quiet moments when you feel alone.

We want you to know that it's okay to feel tired, to feel overwhelmed. Jesus understands, He's been there too. He was tired, He was overwhelmed, He was even tempted to give up. But He didn't, because He knew there was a purpose, a plan. And so there is for you too.

You're not alone in this. We're here with you, and so is God. He's not distant or uncaring. He's right there, ready to give you rest, ready to carry your load with you. His promises are true, even when they don't feel real. They're like seeds planted in your life, growing even when you can't see them.

So, let's keep going together. Let's keep trusting, even when it's hard. Let's keep looking up, even when everything around us is crashing down. Because our God is a God who sees, who cares, who saves. And He's not done with you yet. Keep holding on, dear friend. We're praying for you, and we're here for you.

I'm feeling swamped again. I had a chance to make up with my mom, but that got messed up because of old feelings and letdowns. It's a messy situation with another sibling involved, and we're not talking because of everything. No job and money troubles are still around, and I'm waiting on God's...
