We come before the Lord with grateful hearts that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and love, and we join you in lifting these concerns to the throne of grace.
The Word of God assures us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your son tonight, asking the Lord to stretch forth His hand and bring healing to his body and joy to his spirit. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke any sickness or sadness attempting to take root in his life and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24). May the Lord fill him with His peace that surpasses all understanding and restore his strength.
For you, dear sister or brother, we lift up your health concerns, knowing that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray that if there is any sickness or disease, including skin cancer, that it would be exposed and removed by the power of God. We ask for wisdom for the doctors and clarity in any medical results, trusting that the Lord’s will is perfect and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Whether He chooses to heal instantly, gradually, or walk with you through treatment, we pray you would feel His presence and rest in His sovereignty. Remember the words of Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*
Let us also encourage you both to hold fast to the hope we have in Christ. In times of weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and let this season draw you closer to Him. If there is any fear or anxiety, cast it upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this son tonight. Rebuke the sickness in his body and the sadness in his heart, and replace them with Your wholeness and joy. Let him feel Your presence surrounding him like a shield, and may he know beyond any doubt that You are his Healer and Comforter.
For this parent, we ask for Your divine intervention in their health. If there is any trace of illness, we pray You would remove it completely and restore them to full health. Give them peace as they wait on You, and let them trust in Your perfect timing and plan. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the victory we have in Jesus. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they continue to seek You first in all things. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
