Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with a humble heart, lifting up ###'s adult son in prayer. Lord, we know that You are our Provider and that You desire for us to work diligently and provide for our families. Your Word says in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." We pray that ###'s son will find the motivation and strength to seek employment that will honor You and provide for his family.
Father, we ask that You silence any spirit of complacency or deception that tells him he does not need to work. We know that Your Word instructs us in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, "If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat." We pray that this truth will resonate deeply within him and that he will be moved to take responsibility for his life and the lives of his children.
Lord, we also ask that You open doors of opportunity for him to find a job that he will love and where he can use the talents and skills You have given him. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." We trust in Your perfect plan for his life and believe that You will lead him to the right employment.
We pray for strength and encouragement for the mothers who are currently taking care of his children. May they be blessed for their efforts and may they see a positive change in him soon.
