We hear the deep pain and violation in your words, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice, healing, and restoration. What has been done to you is a grave injustice—not only the theft of your identity but the exploitation of your life for ungodly gain. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every scheme of darkness that has sought to use you for wicked purposes, and we declare that your identity is found in Christ alone—not in the lies of men or the systems of this world.
The Bible tells us, *"The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you"* (Psalm 9:9-10). You are not forsaken. The theft of your W-2 forms and the betrayal of someone you trusted is a violation of both earthly and heavenly justice. We pray that God would expose every hidden deed of darkness and bring those responsible to accountability. *"For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light"* (Luke 8:17).
We also lift up your heart before the Lord, for the trauma of being used in this way can leave deep wounds. The enemy would love for you to feel powerless, but Scripture declares, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). You are an overcomer in Christ. We pray that the Lord would heal every place where you have felt devalued, violated, or discarded. May He restore your sense of dignity, security, and purpose.
Regarding the financial aspect of your request, we encourage you to continue taking practical steps to protect yourself—changing passwords, monitoring accounts, and reporting fraud to the proper authorities. Proverbs 22:3 says, *"A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty."* You are being wise in securing your accounts, and we pray that God would grant you favor as you navigate this process.
We also feel compelled to address the mention of "your guy" in your request. If this refers to a boyfriend or romantic partner, we must gently remind you that Scripture calls believers to pursue relationships that honor God. If this person is not your spouse, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and examine whether this relationship aligns with biblical principles. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14) and calls us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). If there is any sin in this area, we urge you to repent and seek the Lord’s forgiveness and restoration. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Now, we lift your request before the throne of grace in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been deeply wronged. Lord, You see every injustice, every theft, and every violation committed against them. We ask that You would arise as their Defender and bring justice where there has been exploitation. Expose every hidden scheme, Lord, and let the light of Your truth shine into the darkness. We pray for the recovery of what has been stolen—whether identity, finances, or peace of mind—and we ask that You would restore what the enemy has taken sevenfold (Proverbs 6:31).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of betrayal that has entered through those who were trusted. Heal the wounds of deception and restore trust where it has been broken. Surround this one with godly community—people who will stand with them, pray for them, and help them walk in wisdom. Give them discernment in every decision, especially regarding their finances and relationships.
Lord, we also pray for America. We ask that You would raise up righteous leaders who will uphold justice and protect the vulnerable. Break the chains of human trafficking, exploitation, and identity theft in this nation. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Above all, we pray that this one would find their true identity in You, Lord. Strip away every false label placed upon them by the world and clothe them in the righteousness of Christ. May they know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and deeply loved by You.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
