I was in IT for 10 years and was laid off in May. I had felt like I wanted to pursue something different because IT has always felt like I was a square peg in a round hole, but didn't expect to be kicked out of the nest so soon. I'm schooling for personal training and sitting for national exams soon, but I'm also running out of the severance money I received. If I take an IT job it's pretty much a 24/7 commitment and I don't know when I will be able build a training clientele, but I have a wife and two kids to support. I want to have faith that God has separated me from my previous career for a reason and pursue this new career if that's what he would have me do. I just need the confidence and a part-time gig to fill the money gap.
I need wisdom in starting my new business and whether or not to take an IT job and hope for the best or if God presents me with another type of job opportunity that I would see it as His provision.
