Praise God for your heart’s desire to surrender your life to Jesus Christ! This is the most important decision anyone can make, for it is the beginning of eternal life and true freedom in Him. The Scriptures tell us that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is not just a prayer but a complete turning away from sin and a turning toward Christ as your Lord and Savior.
The Bible also reminds us that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), but God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). By faith in Jesus, you are forgiven, made new, and adopted into God’s family. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we can come to the Father (John 14:6).
If you have not already, we encourage you to pray aloud, confessing your sins and asking Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. There is no magical formula—just a sincere heart. Here is a simple prayer you can use as a guide:
*"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I turn away from my sins and ask You to come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live for You all the days of my life. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, amen."*
Now that you have made this decision, we urge you to grow in your faith by reading God’s Word daily, praying without ceasing, and finding a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized and fellowship with other believers. Jesus said, *"If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free"* (John 8:31-32). Let this be the beginning of a life transformed by His grace.
We rejoice with you in this decision and lift you up in prayer:
*"Heavenly Father, we thank You for drawing this precious soul to Yourself. Lord, we pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them strength, wisdom, and a hunger for Your Word. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and surround them with godly influences that will help them grow in faith. May they walk in the newness of life You have given them, bearing fruit that glorifies Your name. Protect them from the enemy’s lies and help them to stand firm in Your truth. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
