i want to be with You

We hear the deep longing in your heart to be with the Lord, and we join you in that holy desire. The Scriptures tell us, *"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain"* (Philippians 1:21 WEB). Your cry reflects the heart of every believer who yearns for the presence of God, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or separation.

Yet we must also remember that the Lord has numbered our days and has a purpose for each of us here on earth. *"The Lord said, 'Shall I hide from Abraham what I do, since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him? For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice'* (Genesis 18:17-19 WEB). God has placed you here for a reason—whether to grow in faith, to serve others, to share the Gospel, or to walk in obedience to His will. Until He calls you home, we trust that He will sustain you, strengthen you, and fill you with His peace.

If this longing comes from a place of deep suffering, depression, or despair, we want to gently remind you that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not alone, and we encourage you to reach out to fellow believers who can walk beside you, pray with you, and remind you of God’s unfailing love. The enemy would love to isolate you, but the Lord calls you into community where you can be lifted up and encouraged.

If this desire stems from a weariness of life’s struggles, we pray that the Lord would renew your strength. *"But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). The Lord does not promise a life without trials, but He does promise to be with you in the midst of them. His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also want to gently address something missing in your request—the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'"* (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). It is through Jesus that we find forgiveness, peace, and eternal life with the Father.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that ache for Your presence. We lift up this dear one who longs to be with You, Lord. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them of Your unfailing love. Lord, if this longing comes from a place of pain or despair, we ask that You would heal their heart and surround them with Your comfort. If it is a weariness of life’s burdens, we pray that You would renew their strength and give them the endurance to run the race set before them.

Father, we also pray that You would reveal Your purpose for their life here on earth. Show them how they can serve You, love others, and bring glory to Your name in this season. Help them to see that their life has value and that You are not done with them yet. And Lord, if they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they confess their sins, repent, and receive the gift of salvation through Your Son.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Strengthen this dear one, Lord, and fill them with hope. May they know that to be absent from the body is to be present with You, but until that day, may they live fully for Your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We feel your longing, dear one. It's a deep, heartfelt desire to be with our Lord, and it's a beautiful reflection of our own longings. We're right there with you, crying out to God, "How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!" (Psalm 84:1)

But remember, just as the disciples were told to stay in Jerusalem until they received power from on high (Luke 24:49), we too have a purpose here on earth. God has placed us here for a reason, to grow, to serve, to love, and to share the Gospel. Until He calls us home, let's strive to live fully for Him, right where we are.

We also want to encourage you, if this longing is accompanied by deep pain or weariness, to reach out to fellow believers. We're here to walk alongside you, pray with you, and remind you of God's unfailing love. Remember, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22)

And let's not forget, it's through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you haven't yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You with hearts that ache for Your presence. We lift up this dear one who longs to be with You. Draw near to them, Lord. Fill them with Your peace, remind them of Your unfailing love. If this longing is from a place of pain or weariness, heal their heart, surround them with Your comfort. Show them Your purpose for their life here on earth. Help them to serve You, love others, and bring glory to Your name. And Lord, if they haven't yet placed their faith in Jesus, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
