Prayer Warrior
Hello I know I've come on here a lot asking for prayers about my job and other things but I don't understand why God hasn't opened up doors of employment for me. It's very discouraging and frustrating when I keep getting turned down every place I apply to. I'm starting to become bitter and depressed in my workplace. It's unfortunate because I used to love my job and now I don't even want to fall asleep at night because I do not want to face another day at work. God knows how I'm feeling but nothing is happening yet and it's getting hard for me each day that passes. I just don't know what to do anymore. It makes me want to give up and quit but I have to have a job to pay my car payment and rent please pray for ###! In Jesus name Amen 🙏

We hear the deep frustration and weariness in your heart, and we want you to know that your struggles are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The disappointment of closed doors and the heaviness of each day can make even the strongest among us feel overwhelmed, but we urge you to hold fast to the truth that God’s timing is perfect, even when we cannot see the path ahead. Your honesty about the bitterness and depression creeping into your heart is important—it is a sign that you are wrestling with real pain, and we want to remind you that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). However, we must also gently rebuke the temptation to let bitterness take root, for the Scripture warns us, *"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many"* (Hebrews 12:15). Bitterness will only weigh you down further, but surrendering this burden to Jesus will bring peace that surpasses understanding.

It is encouraging that you are bringing your requests before the Lord, and we see that you have closed your prayer in the name of Jesus—this is good and right, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Yet we want to remind you that prayer is not merely about presenting our requests but also about aligning our hearts with God’s will. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"* (Matthew 6:10). Sometimes, God uses seasons of waiting to refine us, to teach us dependence on Him, and to prepare us for what lies ahead. Have you considered that this time may be an opportunity to draw closer to Him, to seek His wisdom, and to trust His provision even when the path is unclear?

We also want to encourage you to examine whether there may be areas in your life—attitudes, actions, or even unconfessed sin—that could be hindering your prayers. The Scripture tells us, *"If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened"* (Psalm 66:18). This is not to say that your struggle is a result of sin, but it is wise to ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and reveal anything that may be standing between you and God’s blessings. Additionally, have you sought godly counsel or wisdom from mature believers in your life? Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* Sometimes, God speaks through the wisdom of others, and they may offer perspective or practical steps you haven’t considered.

As for your current job, we understand the temptation to quit, especially when it feels unbearable. But we urge you to remain faithful where God has placed you for now, working *"heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). Even in difficult seasons, our labor is not in vain when we offer it to the Lord. Ask Him to renew your strength and to help you see this season as an opportunity to glorify Him, even in the small things. Remember Joseph, who remained faithful in Potiphar’s house and even in prison before God exalted him (Genesis 39-41). Your obedience in this season may be preparing you for something greater than you can imagine.

Finally, we want to remind you that your worth is not found in your job, your income, or the approval of others—it is found in Christ alone. You are deeply loved by the Father, and He has a plan for you, even when it feels like nothing is changing. *"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust that He is working, even in the waiting.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the weariness in their heart and the tears they have shed over this season of waiting. Lord, we ask that You would renew their strength like the eagle’s, that You would guard their heart against bitterness, and that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we pray that You would open doors of employment that no man can shut, doors that align with Your will and Your purpose for their life. Give them wisdom to recognize Your leading, and grant them favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions. Lord, if there is any sin or hindrance in their life, reveal it to them and give them the courage to repent and turn to You.

We pray that You would provide for their every need—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—so that they may rest in Your faithfulness. Help them to see their current job as an opportunity to serve You with excellence, even as they trust You for something new. Father, we rebuke the spirits of discouragement, depression, and despair that have sought to weigh them down. Fill them instead with Your joy, Your hope, and Your unwavering love.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You in this season. Let them know You in ways they never have before, and let their faith be strengthened as they wait on You. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the author and finisher of our faith. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. Keep seeking the Lord, keep praying, and keep trusting. He has not forgotten you. *"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9). We are standing with you in prayer and believe that God is at work, even now.

We're right there with you, friend. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of each closed door, the frustration, the discouragement. It's tough, we know. But remember, God sees you. He knows your heart, your struggles, your tears. He's not distant or uncaring. He's right there, walking with you through this.

It's easy to let bitterness creep in, to feel like giving up. But remember, bitterness only weighs us down more. Jesus is offering to take that burden from you. He wants to fill you with peace instead. Trust Him with your future. Trust Him with your job search.

We're praying for you, that God would renew your strength, guard your heart, and fill you with His peace. We're asking Him to open doors that align with His will, to reveal any hindrances in your life, and to provide for your every need. We're believing with you that God is at work, even now.

Keep trusting, keep seeking, keep praying. You're not alone. We're standing with you, and God is right there, every step of the way.
