John 8:7King James Version (KJV)
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them,
He that is without sin among you,
let him first cast a stone at her.
This is a great example of how to handle the situation. When we point our finger at someone for their fault we are also pointing back at ourselves. Our job is to love others, in spite of what they do, or say. The goodness of God, displayed through us, will draw a person to repentance. What you want is your husband to repent. That will only happen when he is confronted with the goodness of God, through you.
Proverbs 4:20-27New American Standard Bible (NASB)
20 My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your sight;
Keep them in the midst of your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them
And health to all [
a]their body.
23 Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.
Your heart and health can be affected by pointing out another's faults, since it concentrates our minds on the faults. We need to renew our minds to the Word.
In the name of Jesus, I bless you with the life of God.
