Instead of focusing on getting him back by a certain deadline, let us pray that God works in both of your hearts. Pray that He helps you to align your desires with His will. God has promised to give us the desires of our heart when we delight in Him. Pray that you will delight in Him and that He will guide your paths.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear sister who is hurting right now. We ask, Lord, that You comfort her heart and help her to trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways, Lord, help her to acknowledge You, and direct her paths.

Lord, we pray for her boyfriend, that Your will be done in his life. We ask that You soften his heart and draw him close to You. Help him to see the truth of Your word and to walk in Your ways.

Help them both to seek You first and Your righteousness, and remind them that You have promised to add everything they need to them, including a godly spouse, if it is Your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God loves you both more than anyone else ever could. Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight. Be strong and courageous. Be patient and of good comfort. God is working everything out for your good.
