I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is only by the power of Jesus Christ that we can overcome the bondage of sin, and we give all glory to Him for the work He has begun in you. Your heart’s cry for lasting transformation is a testament to the Holy Spirit’s work within you, and we stand with you in this battle, for the Word of God assures us that *"he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB).

The sins you’ve struggled with—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual immorality—are not just habits to break but strongholds of the enemy that seek to distort God’s beautiful design for purity and holiness. The Bible is clear that *"no sexual immoral person... has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God"* (Ephesians 5:5, WEB), but praise God, we are not left helpless! Through Christ, we are *"more than conquerors"* (Romans 8:37, WEB), and His grace is sufficient to break every chain. The battle is real, but the victory is already won at the cross—we must walk in it daily.

First, we must acknowledge that these struggles often stem from deeper roots: ungodly desires, unchecked thoughts, loneliness, or even past wounds. The mind is the battlefield, and renewal comes through the Word of God. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB). This renewal isn’t passive—it requires intentional filling of your mind with Scripture, worship, and godly fellowship. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB). What you feed your mind will either fuel the fire of sin or starve it.

We also urge you to flee from temptation—not just resist it, but run. *"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). This may mean cutting off access to triggering content, avoiding certain relationships or environments, or even seeking accountability with a mature believer who can walk alongside you. *"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). Isolation is the enemy’s playground; transparency and humility before God and trusted believers are your weapons.

Lastly, remember that mercy and forgiveness are already yours in Christ. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). But mercy must be met with repentance—a turning away from sin and toward God. True repentance isn’t just sorrow; it’s a change of direction. Ask the Lord to reveal any areas where you’ve made allowances for sin, and surrender them fully to Him.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks lasting freedom from the sins that have ensnared him. Lord, You alone are his Deliverer, and we thank You for the work You’ve already done in his life. But we ask for more—for a complete and permanent breakthrough. Father, renew his mind by the power of Your Word. Let Your truth saturate his thoughts, casting down every imagination and high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of You (2 Corinthians 10:5). Give him a hatred for sin and a hunger for righteousness that surpasses any fleeting pleasure.

Lord, we pray You would expose every hidden trigger, every ungodly tie, and every lie of the enemy that has kept him bound. Break the power of lust and temptation in his life, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he walks in self-control and purity. Surround him with godly men who will spur him on toward holiness and hold him accountable. Let him not walk in shame or condemnation, but in the confidence of Your forgiveness and the assurance that *"sin will not have dominion over him, for he is not under law, but under grace"* (Romans 6:14, WEB).

Father, we rebuke the enemy’s schemes to drag him back into bondage. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that he is free indeed (John 8:36). Give him wisdom to flee temptation, strength to resist, and a heart that longs for You above all else. Let his life be a testament to Your transforming power, that others may see and glorify Your name.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Stand firm, brother. The road may be difficult, but the Lord is with you. *"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He who called you is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Walk in victory!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
