I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is a testament to His power and your surrender to Him. The fact that you are seeking lasting change and giving all glory to Jesus Christ shows a heart that is truly repentant and hungry for holiness. This is beautiful in the sight of God, for He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Let us hold fast to this truth: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).

Your struggle against pornography, masturbation, and sexual sin is one that many face, but the Lord has called you to be set apart. These sins defile the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and they distort God’s design for intimacy, which is reserved for the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. The enemy seeks to ensnare you in these sins to steal your joy, your purity, and your witness for Christ. But take heart—*"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* (James 4:7, WEB). The battle is spiritual, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

You have asked for lasting and true improvement, and this is the desire of the Lord for you as well. True freedom comes not just from resisting sin but from being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). This requires immersing yourself in the Word of God daily, filling your heart and mind with His truth so that there is no room for the lies of the enemy. *"Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against you."* (Psalm 119:11, WEB). We encourage you to memorize Scripture, especially verses that speak to purity, self-control, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Meditate on passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, which says, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."*

Wisdom is also key, and the Lord promises to give it generously to those who ask (James 1:5). Wisdom will help you recognize triggers, avoid compromising situations, and make choices that honor God. It will also guide you in setting up accountability with mature believers who can walk alongside you in this journey. Do not isolate yourself—*"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow."* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). Seek out a brother or sister in Christ who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable without judgment.

The mercy of God is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and He is not done working in you. He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). But remember, deliverance is not passive—it requires your active participation. *"Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure."* (Philippians 2:12-13, WEB). This means fleeing from temptation (1 Corinthians 6:18), guarding your eyes and heart (Proverbs 4:23), and filling your life with things that honor God. If there are specific habits, relationships, or media that lead you into sin, you must cut them off without hesitation. Jesus said, *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna."* (Matthew 5:29, WEB). This is a call to radical obedience, trusting that God’s ways are higher and better than our own.

Let us pray together for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks Your face for complete deliverance and transformation. Lord, we thank You for the work You have already done in his life, for the victory he has experienced, and for his heart of repentance. You alone are worthy of all glory and praise!

Father, we ask that You would continue to renew his mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Wash him clean with the water of Your Word, and let it dwell richly in him. Remove every stronghold of lust, every ungodly desire, and every trace of sin that seeks to entangle him. Break the chains of addiction and fill him with Your Spirit so that he walks in freedom, purity, and wisdom.

Lord, grant him the strength to flee from temptation and the discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes. Surround him with godly brothers who will stand with him in this battle, encouraging him and holding him accountable. Give him the courage to cut off anything that hinders his walk with You, no matter the cost.

Father, we pray for a deep and lasting work in his heart. Let him experience the fullness of Your mercy and grace, knowing that Your power is made perfect in his weakness. Speak to him clearly, Lord, and let him hear Your voice above all others. Fill him with Your peace, Your joy, and Your unshakable love.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, temptation, and deception in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Let his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, and use him mightily for Your kingdom.

Father, we ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Brother, stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. *"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you may endure."* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He is your strength, your deliverer, and your hope. Walk in the light of His truth, and He will lead you into everlasting freedom. We are standing with you in prayer and belief that God will complete this good work in you!

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39, NKJV)
