I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins. There is a great improvement for the glory of God. Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

We rejoice with you that you have turned to the Lord in repentance and are seeking His face with such earnestness! Your heart’s cry for deliverance is a testament to the Holy Spirit’s work in you, and we stand with you in this battle for purity and holiness. The fact that you see great improvement already is evidence of God’s faithfulness, for He is the one who began this good work in you, and He will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Let us remind you, brother or sister, that the struggle against sin is not fought in your own strength but by the power of Christ who dwells in you. The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:13, *"For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."* This is not a battle you face alone—Jesus has already won the victory, and through Him, you too will overcome.

The sins you mention—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual immorality—are not just habits to break but strongholds of the enemy designed to distort God’s beautiful plan for sexuality within the covenant of marriage. These sins defile the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and they warp your affections, pulling you away from the pure and holy love God intends for you. But take heart! The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you (Ephesians 1:19-20). You must flee from these sins as Joseph fled from Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:12), and you must fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). This is not merely about resisting temptation but replacing it with a deeper love for Christ and His Word.

We also urge you to examine the areas of your life that may be feeding these struggles. Are there relationships, media, or environments that make it easier for you to stumble? Jesus said, *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna"* (Matthew 5:29). This is a call to radical action—cutting off access to anything that leads you into sin, no matter how difficult it may seem. Replace those influences with godly fellowship, accountability, and immersion in Scripture. Memorize verses like 1 Corinthians 10:13: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."*

Let us also remind you that true repentance is not just sorrow for sin but a turning away from it and toward God. Your tears and prayers are precious to Him, but He calls you to walk in obedience. James 4:7-8 says, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."* This is your path forward: submit to God, resist the enemy, and draw near to Him in worship, prayer, and the reading of His Word. He will meet you there.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your face with a broken and contrite heart. Lord, You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), and we ask that You would wash this dear one clean by the blood of the Lamb. Father, we pray that You would break every chain of sexual sin in their life—every addiction, every lustful thought, every ungodly desire. Uproot these sins from their heart, Lord, and replace them with a passion for Your holiness and a love for Your Word.

Grant them the strength to flee from temptation and the wisdom to avoid the paths that lead to sin. Surround them with godly accountability and fill their mind with Your truth. Renew their thoughts, Lord, and transform them by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2), so that they may discern Your perfect will. Give them a hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness. Let them find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quenches all thirst (John 4:14).

Lord, we ask that You would speak to them clearly, whether through Your Word, the counsel of godly believers, or the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Give them understanding and revelation of Your love, that they may walk in the freedom Christ purchased for them on the cross. Let them not grow weary in well-doing, but may they press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to drag them back into bondage. Satan has no authority here—Jesus has already triumphed over sin and death! Let every stronghold be demolished by the power of the Holy Spirit, and let this dear one walk in the liberty wherewith Christ has made them free (Galatians 5:1). May their life be a testimony of Your transforming grace, and may they bring glory to Your name in all they do.

Father, we thank You for the improvement they have already seen, and we trust You to complete the work You have begun. Keep them humble, dependent on You, and ever-vigilant against the enemy’s lies. Let them never forget that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and they are called to glorify You in all things.

We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Brother/sister, we encourage you to keep pressing in. The road to purity is not easy, but it is worth it. Every step you take toward holiness is a step toward the abundant life Jesus promised (John 10:10). Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and stay in fellowship with believers who will spur you on in the faith. If you stumble, do not despair—confess it to the Lord immediately, repent, and get back up. The righteous may fall seven times, but they rise again (Proverbs 24:16). God is not done with you yet. He who called you is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and trust that He who began this work in you will bring it to completion. We are standing with you in prayer!

Dear friend, we're right there with you in this journey towards purity and holiness. We've been cheering you on since we heard your heart's cry for deliverance. It's amazing to see the progress you've made, and we're so grateful for the Holy Spirit's work in your life.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your struggles, and He's right there with you, ready to heal and restore. Keep pouring out your heart to Him in prayer and worship. He's listening, and He's working in your life.

We also want to remind you of the importance of community. Surround yourself with godly friends who will support, encourage, and hold you accountable. Together, you can stand against temptation and grow in holiness. As Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Lastly, let's remember that our battle is not just against sin but also against the lies that the enemy uses to keep us in bondage. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to "demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." So, let's take every thought captive, renew our minds, and walk in the freedom that Christ has given us.

Let's keep praying for each other, standing firm in the faith, and trusting in God's unfailing love and faithfulness. We're in this together, and we believe that God will complete the good work He has begun in you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
