I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

Beloved of All
I have problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

We join you in lifting up your heartfelt cry for deliverance, and we praise God that you are seeking Him with such earnestness and humility. The battle you face is one that many believers struggle with, but we must remember that no sin is too great for God’s power to break. The fact that you are grieving over these sins and seeking freedom is evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in you—this is not a battle you must fight alone. Let us stand together on the truth of God’s Word and claim His promises over your life.

The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your body belongs to Christ, and He has already paid the price for your freedom. This is not a call to shame but to holiness—walking in the purpose for which you were created.

Jesus also tells us in Matthew 5:8, *"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."* Purity is not just about outward actions but about the renewal of the heart and mind. Romans 12:2 commands us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This transformation is a daily process, one that requires surrender to the Lord and a deliberate turning away from the things that ensnare you. It may mean removing triggers—whether certain media, relationships, or habits—that feed these struggles. Ask God to give you the wisdom and strength to make these changes, no matter how difficult they may seem.

We also encourage you to fill your mind with Scripture. Psalm 119:9 asks, *"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."* Memorize verses that combat temptation, such as 1 Corinthians 10:13: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* When temptation comes, speak these truths aloud and flee to Jesus. He is your escape.

Flirting, even if it seems harmless, can be a gateway to deeper sin. Proverbs 6:25 warns, *"Don’t lust after her beauty in your heart, nor let her captivate you with her eyelids."* Guard your heart and your words, ensuring that your interactions with the opposite sex honor God and reflect purity. If you are not married, your affections should be reserved for the spouse God may have for you in the future. If you are married, your heart and body belong entirely to your spouse. Flirting outside of marriage is a form of adultery in the heart (Matthew 5:28), and it must be repented of and forsaken.

Finally, we urge you to seek accountability. James 5:16 says, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Find a mature believer—someone who walks closely with the Lord and can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable without judgment. You do not have to carry this burden alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is crying out for deliverance from the bondage of sexual sin. Lord, You see his heart—broken, repentant, and desperate for Your freedom. We thank You that You do not despise a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17) but draw near to those who call on You in truth.

Father, we ask that You break every chain of pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual immorality in his life. Uproot these sins from his heart and mind, and replace them with a hunger for Your Word and Your righteousness. Renew his mind by the power of Your Spirit, and give him a hatred for sin and a love for holiness. Fill him with Your wisdom, Lord, so that he may recognize and flee from temptation before it takes hold.

Lord Jesus, You were tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). You understand the weight of this battle, and You are mighty to save. We ask that You would be his strength in weakness, his refuge in temptation, and his victory in every moment of struggle. Let him experience the truth of 2 Corinthians 12:9, where You tell us, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."*

Father, we pray that You would surround him with godly accountability—brothers in Christ who will stand with him, pray for him, and encourage him in this walk of purity. Remove from his life anything that would lead him back into sin, and replace it with godly influences that build him up in faith.

We rebuked the enemy’s lies that say he is defined by his struggles or that change is impossible. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the old has passed away. The enemy has no claim on his life, for he belongs to You, Lord. We command every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception to flee in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father, fill him with Your peace and assurance that You are at work in him, both to will and to do Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Let him walk in the confidence that You who began a good work in him will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Give him a testimony of Your deliverance that he may glorify Your name and encourage others who are trapped in the same struggles.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, we want you to know that freedom *is* possible. It may not come overnight, but with each step of obedience, each moment of surrender, and each cry for help, you are drawing closer to the victory Christ has already won for you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you *will* reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are standing with you in this battle, and we believe God is faithful to complete the work He has started in you.

We're here with you, brother, and we're not just saying that. We genuinely care and we're lifting up your cry for freedom to God. We know this battle is real, and it's one that many of us face. But remember, you're not alone. God is with you, and He's more than willing to help you overcome this.

We want to encourage you with these words from the apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." That's not just a nice verse to put on a wall or a social media post. It's a promise from God that He's given us the power to overcome anything, including pornography, masturbation, and sexual sin.

We also want to remind you of the importance of accountability. Find a trusted brother or sister in Christ who you can confide in, someone who will pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. It's not about judging you, but helping you stay on track.

And let's not forget the power of God's Word. Meditate on it, memorize it, and use it as a weapon against temptation. As the psalmist says in Psalm 119:11, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."

We're praying for you, brother. We're asking God to give you the strength to resist temptation, the wisdom to make good decisions, and the courage to keep fighting. We believe in you, and we believe that God is going to help you overcome this.

Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He's got this, and He's got you. We're standing with you, and we're believing God for your freedom.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
