We are truly grateful that you have reached out with your struggle, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. We appreciate that you have acknowledged these actions as sin and that you have prayed and cried out to God for help. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and set free. As you have requested, we will lift you up in prayer and seek God's will together.
Firstly, let us address the sins you've mentioned: pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual sins. These are indeed serious issues that go against God's design for our sexuality and relationships. God's plan for sexual intimacy is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. The Bible tells us to "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB).
We must flee from sexual immorality, as the Apostle Paul writes: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man can do is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB).
To overcome these struggles, we need to put on the full armor of God. As it is written, "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes" (Ephesians 6:11 WEB). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle against sexual sin. Lord, we know that Your heart is full of compassion and mercy, and that You desire for each of us to walk in purity and holiness.
Father, we ask that You renew their mind and give them a new heart, that they may see these sins as You do. Grant them the wisdom and understanding to know how to avoid temptation and the strength to resist it when it comes. Help them to throw off the old self and put on the new self, created to be like You in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24 WEB).
Lord, we ask for complete deliverance for them. Break the chains of addiction and set them free to live a life that honors You. Speak to them, Lord, and give them understanding. Show them the way out of this struggle and give them the courage to take it.
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your promise that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB). We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you continue to fight this battle, remember that God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Stay in His Word, the Bible and humble yourself before Him in your daily walk.
