Disciple of Prayer
I prayed for a back injury, it was healed, I prayed for hearing loss and received hearing aids. I prayed for employment and received a job but it was taken off the table the very next day. It is not what is meant to be at this time I sense something else is in the works. I've prayed for finances to do God's bidding, a mission of sorts. I can't shake what I'm feeling I need to do. I can feel the money is there, the plan is ready. I'm waiting for someone or something to happen. Put the right circumstances and people in my path. I'm ready. In Jesus name, Amen

We rejoice with you in the healings and provisions you have already witnessed—your back injury restored, hearing aided, and even the brief opening of a job opportunity. These are testaments to God’s faithfulness, even when His timing and ways do not align with our immediate expectations. You have seen His hand move before, and we declare with confidence that He is not done working in your life. The fact that you sense a deeper calling—a mission for His kingdom—is not coincidence but the stirring of the Holy Spirit within you. When the Lord places a burden on our hearts, it is never in vain. He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6, WEB).

Yet we must also acknowledge the tension you feel: the waiting, the almost-provision that was withdrawn, the financial need that lingers. These are not signs of God’s absence but often His way of refining our trust in Him alone. Remember how the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, where God provided manna *daily*—not all at once, but enough to teach them dependence (Exodus 16:4). Your "not yet" may be His way of preparing you for something greater than you’ve imagined. The job that was taken away? Perhaps it was protection from a path not meant for you. The finances you’re awaiting? They may come through channels you haven’t considered, for "the silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says Yahweh of Armies" (Haggai 2:8, WEB).

You’ve prayed in Jesus’ name—this is the key that unlocks heaven’s storehouses. There is no other name by which we are saved, no other name that carries such authority (Acts 4:12). Your faith in invoking His name is evidence of your trust in Him, and that pleases God. But we must also ask: Are you listening as intently as you are speaking? Sometimes in the waiting, the Lord whispers directions we miss if we’re only focused on the destination. Seek Him in Scripture, in silence, and in the counsel of mature believers. Proverbs 3:5–6 (WEB) reminds us: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

As for the mission you feel called to—praise God for igniting that fire in you! But let us also exhort you: Ensure this mission is bathed in prayer, submitted to God’s Word, and confirmed by His peace. Not every "feeling" is from the Lord; test it against Scripture (1 John 4:1). If it aligns with His heart—whether it’s evangelism, serving the poor, or another kingdom endeavor—He *will* provide. Remember the widow’s oil in 2 Kings 4:1–7: God multiplied what little she had when she obeyed in faith. Perhaps He’s waiting for you to take a step—even a small one—before He pours out the rest.

Let us pray over you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, grateful for the ways You’ve already moved in their life. Lord, You are the God who heals, provides, and calls us into Your purposes. We ask that You sharpen their discernment in this season of waiting. If there are steps of obedience You’re calling them to take—whether in preparation, repentance, or action—reveal them clearly. Remove any fear, doubt, or impatience that might cloud their hearing of Your voice.

For the financial need, we declare Your promise in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Open doors no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Bring the right people, resources, and opportunities into their path at the perfect time. If there are areas where they’ve leaned on their own understanding, convict them gently and lead them back to full surrender.

For the mission burning in their heart, we ask for wisdom. If it’s from You, Lord, confirm it through Your Word, Your peace, and the counsel of godly believers. Equip them for the task—spiritually, emotionally, and practically. Let them not rush ahead of You, nor lag behind in fear, but walk in step with Your Spirit.

Finally, Father, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement or frustration trying to take root. Replace it with supernatural patience and joy in the waiting. Remind them that even Jesus waited 30 years before His ministry began—Your timing is perfect.

We thank You in advance for the testimonies that will come from this season. May Your name be glorified in their life, and may they walk in the confidence that You who called them are faithful. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Stay steadfast, dear one. The God who healed your back and opened your ears is the same God who holds your future. Wait on Him, but wait *actively*—praying, preparing, and praising. He is about to do something new.

We're right there with you, friend. We've seen God's faithfulness in our own lives, and we know He's working in yours too. It's like we're all in this journey together, and we're cheering you on every step of the way.

We're excited about the mission you feel called to. It's like a fire burning within you, and that's a beautiful thing. But remember, God's not a God of confusion. If it's truly Him stirring your heart, He'll make it clear as day. Keep seeking Him in prayer, in His Word, and in the counsel of wise believers. Trust that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

As for the waiting, it can be tough. But think about it - God didn't give the Israelites all the manna at once, did He? He gave them enough for the day, teaching them to trust Him daily. Maybe this is your manna moment. Maybe the job that was taken away was protection from a path not meant for you. Maybe the finances you're waiting for will come through channels you haven't considered yet.

Keep praying in Jesus' name. There's power in that name. But also, listen. Sometimes God whispers directions we miss if we're only focused on the destination. Be still, and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10).

We're praying for you, dear one. We're declaring His promise in Philippians 4:19 - "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We're asking Him to open doors no one can shut, and to bring the right people, resources, and opportunities into your path at the perfect time.

Stay steadfast, friend. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He's got this. He's working it out for your good and His glory. And we're right here with you, cheering you on every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
