I have struggled with depression all my life. There is no easy answer for this. If yours is chemically based maybe you might need to see a doctor but I wouldn't suggest drugs because of the side effects unless it is absolutely necessary.

If it is situational then you need to look at your life and make some changes. Even small ones. Maybe you just need to rest now and think about what you need to change to make your life better. There is always something you can do even if it is one small little detail.

Focus on one small thing that makes you feel happy and just do it. I find music helps and just being alone in a quiet room and communing with God. God will sustain you and you can communicate with him all the time so you are never alone in your depression.

Part of the reason for your depression could be the unreconciled relationship. Just something for you to consider.
