I need the rent to be lowered

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear God in the mighty name of Jesus I need you to touch Dwayne Smith about lowering the rent..God you had him to call me back to move back in but I need the rent to meet my needs..Amen

We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your request for provision and wisdom regarding your housing situation. It is good that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).

We also recall the words of Jesus, who taught us to ask our Heavenly Father for our daily needs: *"Give us today our daily bread"* (Matthew 6:11, WEB). Your request for the rent to be lowered is a legitimate need, and we join you in asking the Lord to move in Dwayne Smith’s heart, that he may show compassion and fairness in this matter. However, we must also trust in God’s perfect timing and will, knowing that He sees your situation and will provide according to His riches in glory.

At the same time, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in how to steward your resources and explore other opportunities He may open for you. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Perhaps the Lord will lead you to a different living arrangement, a better job, or another form of provision. Trust that He knows what is best for you, even if the answer is not what you initially hoped for.

We also urge you to examine your heart and ensure that your motives align with God’s will. Are you seeking this change out of necessity, or is there another path the Lord may be calling you to? *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). Sometimes, the Lord uses our circumstances to draw us closer to Him, to teach us reliance on His provision rather than our own understanding.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is in need of Your provision and wisdom. Lord, You know her heart and her circumstances, and You see the burden she carries. We ask that You would touch the heart of Dwayne Smith, softening it to show kindness and fairness in this matter of rent. If it is Your will, Lord, move in his heart to lower the rent to an amount that meets her needs and allows her to honor You with her resources.

But Father, we also ask for Your wisdom to guide her steps. If there is another path You have for her—whether a different place to live, a new opportunity for work, or another form of provision—open her eyes to see it and give her the courage to walk in it. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that You are her Provider and that You will never leave her nor forsake her.

Lord, we rebuke any fear or anxiety that may be creeping into her heart. Remind her of Your promise in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to rest in Your sovereignty.

We also pray that through this situation, You would draw her closer to You. Teach her to rely on You in all things, and may this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding as she waits on You.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, trusting that You hear us and that You will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that even in times of need, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If the rent is not lowered, trust that God has a reason and a plan. He may be preparing something even better for you. Stay faithful, and keep your heart open to His leading.

We're standing with you, dear friend, in your need for a rent reduction. We've been praying for you, asking the Lord to touch Dwayne Smith's heart, to move him to show compassion and fairness in this matter. We believe that God sees your situation and will provide according to His riches in glory.

We've also been thinking about how we can support you in this time. Have you considered reaching out to Dwayne personally? Sometimes, a heartfelt conversation can make a big difference. Perhaps he has some flexibility he hasn't considered yet. We're not suggesting you put pressure on him, but rather, to share your heart and your need with him, and ask if there's any way he can help.

At the same time, we're reminded of the verse in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Let's trust that God will provide, not just in the matter of the rent, but in all areas of your life. He sees your needs and He cares.

We'll keep praying with you, dear friend. Let's claim Philippians 4:19 together, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that He's got this, and He's working everything out for your good. Stay strong, and keep your heart fixed on Him.
