We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every demonic attack against your soul in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
First, we must ensure that you are standing on the firm foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. If you have not already, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already made this confession, we encourage you to reaffirm your faith and commitment to Christ, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray that you put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Stand therefore, having the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, taking the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:11, 14-17). Speak the Word of God out loud, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas of unconfessed sin or open doors that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). If there are any relationships, habits, or patterns in your life that do not align with God's Word, we urge you to repent and turn away from them, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is under spiritual attack, and we ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Lord, we rebuke every demonic spirit that is oppressing them, and we command them to flee in Jesus' name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might, and help them to stand firm in their faith. Remind them of Your promises, and let them find comfort in Your Word. Lord, we pray that You would break every chain of bondage and set them free from every snare of the enemy.
We ask that You would bring godly believers into their life who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement. Surround them with Your angels, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Father, we pray for a breakthrough in their life, that they would experience Your power and love in a fresh and new way.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that the enemy is defeated, and that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). You are not alone in this fight, for we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts is with you.
