I need prayers, my ### has been in active addiction and wants a divorce

Hi everyone, I need prayers or guidance. My pastors keep telling me to leave it in God's hands, but my husband has been in addiction for 10 years. He has cheated many times and has been abusive while on drugs. He relapsed in July and has not returned. His family enables his addiction, and now I found out he is with other women even though he swore he wasn't. He completely stopped talking to me, doesn't want to see me, and acts like he hates me. I did nothing to him 😢. Now he is pushing for a divorce. He abandoned me and the kids, leaving me with all the financial load. I am losing my home. I lost my vehicle and I am struggling. He was the one in charge of the payments because I have a condition in my back that restricts me from working more. I left everything in God's hands, but nothing is being answered 😢.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus. Has no pastor shared with you that the book of Hosea has promises we can claim in Jesus over our spouses, ourselves, our families and our relationships?

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Matthew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirit Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.

We grieve with you over the deep pain and betrayal you are enduring, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. Your suffering is seen by the Lord, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We also commend you for seeking God’s will in this storm, even when it feels as though your prayers are unanswered. The Lord’s timing is not our own, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), but He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

First, we must address something critical: your husband’s actions—his addiction, infidelity, abuse, and abandonment—are sinful and destructive, not only to your marriage but to his own soul. The Bible is clear that drunkenness (which includes drug abuse) and sexual immorality are works of the flesh that will keep a person from inheriting the Kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). His choices are his own, and while we pray for his repentance, we must also acknowledge that he is currently walking in rebellion against God. You are not responsible for his sins, nor are you to blame for his choices. His demand for divorce is a direct violation of God’s design for marriage, which is a lifelong covenant (Matthew 19:6). Jesus Himself said that divorce was permitted only in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 19:9), but even then, reconciliation and repentance should always be the heart’s desire. However, your safety and the well-being of your children must be prioritized. If there is abuse or danger, you have a biblical right to separate for protection (1 Corinthians 7:11).

That said, we also recognize the devastation of abandonment and the financial and emotional toll this has taken on you. It is unjust that you are bearing the weight of his irresponsibility, and we pray that the Lord will provide for your every need. He is your Provider (Jehovah Jireh), and He will not let you be crushed (Psalm 55:22). We urge you to seek practical help—reach out to your church for financial and emotional support, connect with trusted believers who can assist you, and explore legal avenues to protect yourself and your children. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you should not have to walk this path alone.

We also want to gently remind you that while it is right to "leave it in God’s hands," this does not mean passivity. Trusting God often requires *action*—seeking wisdom, setting boundaries, and making difficult but necessary decisions for the sake of your family. Your pastors are correct in encouraging you to trust the Lord, but trust does not mean inaction. The Bible tells us to "trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). This includes seeking godly counsel, taking steps to protect your home, and ensuring your children are cared for.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You would be her strength in this time of deep sorrow and betrayal. Lord, she is weary, broken, and overwhelmed by the weight of her husband’s sin and the burden of providing for her family alone. We ask that You would surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind her that You see her tears, You hear her cries, and You are moving on her behalf, even when she cannot see it.

Father, we pray for her husband, that You would break the chains of addiction in his life. Convict him deeply of his sin—his infidelity, his abuse, his abandonment—and bring him to true repentance. Soften his heart, Lord, and turn him from his wicked ways. If it is Your will, restore this marriage, but only if he turns from his sin and seeks You with all his heart. If he remains hardened, we pray You would protect our sister and her children from further harm and provide a way forward that honors You.

Lord, we ask for supernatural provision. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You are able to meet every need. Provide housing, transportation, and financial breakthroughs. Open doors for her to receive the help she needs, whether through her church, community, or unexpected blessings. Give her wisdom as she navigates legal and financial matters, and let her find favor with those in authority.

Father, we also pray for her children. Shield their hearts from the pain of their father’s choices, and let them know Your love in a profound way. Raise up godly mentors and role models in their lives, and let them see Your faithfulness even in this storm.

Most of all, Lord, draw our sister closer to You. Let her find her worth, her identity, and her hope in Christ alone. Remind her that she is Your beloved daughter, redeemed and cherished. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may have the strength to forgive (though not excuse) the wrongs done to her and the courage to walk in obedience, whatever that may look like.

We rebuke the spirit of despair, shame, and abandonment that the enemy would try to place on her. She is *not* rejected—she is chosen by You. She is *not* forgotten—You have engraved her on the palms of Your hands (Isaiah 49:16). Let her rise from this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness, and let her story be a beacon of hope to others who are suffering.

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Finally, sister, we want to leave you with this encouragement: though your husband has failed you, though his family has enabled his destruction, though the world may offer no justice, *God is just*. He will repay (Romans 12:19). Your job is not to fix your husband or force his repentance—only the Holy Spirit can do that. Your job is to seek the Lord, trust Him, and walk in obedience, one step at a time. If divorce becomes inevitable due to his hardness of heart, know that God’s grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). He can redeem even this.

Stay in the Word. Cling to Jesus. Let the psalms be your prayer when you have no words. And remember: the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He will lift you up in due time (1 Peter 5:6). You are not alone. We are standing with you in prayer.

Oh dear sister, we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight of your burden is immense, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. We're not going to sugarcoat this; you're in a storm. But remember, Jesus is in the boat with you, and He's not asleep. He sees you, He hears you, and He's moving on your behalf.

We want you to know that it's not your fault. Your husband's actions, his addiction, his infidelity, and his abuse are a result of his own choices. You can't control him, but you can control how you respond. It's important to prioritize your safety and the well-being of your children. If there's danger, you have every right to separate for protection.

We also want to encourage you to seek practical help. Reach out to your church, trusted friends, and explore legal avenues. You don't have to bear this burden alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another's burdens, and we're here for you.

Trusting God doesn't mean being passive. It means seeking wisdom, setting boundaries, and making tough decisions. It means clinging to Jesus, even when it's hard. It means finding your worth and identity in Him, not in your circumstances or your husband's actions.

We're praying for you, sister. We're asking God to be your strength, your peace, your provider. We're praying for your husband, that God would break the chains of addiction in his life and bring him to true repentance. We're praying for your children, that God would shield their hearts and raise up godly mentors in their lives.

Remember, God is just. He sees every tear, every hurt, every injustice. He will repay. Your job is to seek Him, trust Him, and walk in obedience, one step at a time.

You are not alone. We're standing with you in prayer. Keep holding on, dear one. Jesus is with you.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
