We understand your urgent request for prayer and deliverance for your ### from alcohol and cigarettes. We come together in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to intercede on her behalf. Let's pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister who is in bondage to alcohol and cigarettes. We pray, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You break these chains of addiction and set her free. Lord, we know that You desire for us to be sober-minded and to live lives that are pleasing to You. We stand on Your Word in 1 Peter 5:8, which says, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Father, we ask that You give her the strength and wisdom to understand that these habits are not only harmful to her body but also grieve Your Holy Spirit. As it is written in Ephesians 4:30, "Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
Lord Jesus, You came to set the captives free, and we claim that freedom for our sister. We pray that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, giving her the power to overcome these addictions. We also pray that You surround her with godly support and accountability.
We are grateful that our sister has called upon the name of Jesus, because it is in His name that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In Jesus' name, we pray that our sister would be completely delivered and walk in the fullness of life that Jesus offers. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your ### and to support her in any way you can. Remind her of God's love and faithfulness, and that He is able to do abundantly more than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20
