We are with you in spirit, interceding for your loved one, and we commend you for your faith in the power of prayer.
Firstly, we are grateful that you have acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus Christ. You are correct that there is no other name given to mankind by which we must be saved. It is through Jesus Christ alone that we can approach God the Father.
We are reminded of the promise in John 16:23-24 WEB: "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
Let us pray together for your mother's deliverance from alcohol and cigarettes. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, believing that she can be freed from these bondages.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the mother of our fellow believer. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in her life. Break the chains of alcohol and cigarette addiction, and set her free from these destructive habits.
Father, we also pray that You grant her a spirit of repentance and understanding. Open her eyes to see that these actions are not pleasing to You and are causing harm to her body, which is Your temple. Help her to comprehend the love You have for her and the desire You have for her to live a life holy and acceptable to You.
We stand on Your Word in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Lord, provide a way of escape for her from these temptations. Strengthen her with Your mighty power to overcome these addictions. Surround her with godly support and encouragement to walk in freedom and newness of life.
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God hears our prayers and is faithful to answer according to His will. Continue to trust in Him and stand firm in your faith. Remind your mother of God's love for her and His desire for her to live a life free from addiction. May God grant her the understanding and conviction needed to turn away from these harmful substances and draw closer to Him.
