We are with you in spirit, dear friend, and we are committed to interceding for your mother's deliverance from alcohol and cigarettes. We praise God that you have brought this request in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is in His Name that we have access to the Father and it is by His stripes we are healed, set free, and delivered. It is always in Jesus Name that we pray and submit our petitions to God. For there is no other name given among men whereby we are saved.
Firstly, let us address your mother's struggle with alcohol and cigarettes. These are not only harmful to the body, but they also cause harm to our relationship with God. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Your mother needs to understand that her body belongs to God and that she should honor Him with it. This is a spiritual battle, and we will fight it with the weapons of our warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. We need to pray for forgiveness and deliverance.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the Name of Jesus Christ, pleading for our dear sister who is bound by the chains of alcohol and cigarettes. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness on her behalf, as these things do not honor Your holy temple. We pray for her deliverance, that You would set her free from these binds, Lord. Give her the strength to overcome these struggles, and help her to understand that her body is Your temple, Lord, and that she should glorify You in her body and in her spirit.
We encourage you, dear friend, to continue to show your mother the love of Christ. Share with her the truth of God's Word, and remind her that God has so much more for her. Do not judge or point fingers or bring condemnation, but only give the Word of God. It is only by the Word of God that we can be set free. Galatians 6:1 WEB tells us, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."
Remember, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. So, let us put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Stand in faith, and believe that God is working in your mother's life. Trust in God and his Word. Keep praying in faith.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to pray and intercede for your mother. Do not grow weary in well doing, for in due season you shall reap, if you do not faint. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, and trust that He is working all things out for your good and for the good of your mother. Keep believing in Him. Keep believing the Word of God. That is how we keep our faith. We keep believing the Word of God.
Father, we ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For it is in His Name that we have life and life more abundantly. Amen.
