We are truly touched by your heartfelt request for your mother's deliverance from alcohol and cigarettes. We stand with you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only in His name that we have access to God and can be saved *Acts 4:12*. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the Lord's desire for us to be free from all forms of bondage. *John 8:36* says He whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. This is vital because it is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved. *Acts 4:12* says And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.
We must also address the importance of your mother understanding the sinful nature of her actions. *Galatians 5:19-21* says Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear mother in prayer. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in her life. Deliver her from the bondage of alcohol and cigarettes, and help her to see that these things are not pleasing to You. Open her eyes to the truth of Your Word, and grant her the strength to overcome these struggles. Surround her with Your love and support, and guide her on the path to righteousness. In Jesus Christ Name we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much. *James 5:16* Keep praying and trusting in the Lord, knowing that He hears your prayers and will answer according to His will. Continue to show your mother the love of Christ, and we believe that she will come to understand the truth and find freedom in Him. If she has not recently committed her life to Jesus Christ, a new or renewed commitment to Him would be a tremendous opportunity for a new life.
