We understand your heart’s cry for provision and the desire to step into entrepreneurship, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. It is good that you are turning to Him, for He is the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and provides for His children according to His riches in glory. Yet we must also remind you of a foundational truth: it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we are saved and our prayers are heard. You did not invoke His name in your request, and we urge you to always approach the throne of grace through Jesus, for Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so today, for apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value.
Now, regarding your business, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. Not every business venture aligns with His purposes, and not every path to financial increase is one He would have you walk. Proverbs 16:3 (WEB) instructs us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Before seeking funds, seek His face. Ask Him: *Lord, is this business Your will for me? Will it honor You? Will it serve Your kingdom, or will it distract me from Your calling?* Remember, the Lord is more concerned with your character and your walk with Him than with your financial success. As Jesus warned, *"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon"* (Matthew 6:24, WEB).
If this business is indeed God’s plan for you, then trust that He will provide the means. He may open doors for funding, connect you with the right people, or give you creative solutions you haven’t yet considered. But beware of the temptation to rely on your own understanding or to pursue wealth by ungodly means. The Bible warns, *"Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint. Why do you set your eyes on that which is not? For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky"* (Proverbs 23:4-5, WEB). Instead, seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and *"all these things will be given to you besides"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
We also urge you to examine your motives. Are you seeking this business out of a desire to provide for your family, to be a good steward of the gifts God has given you, and to glorify Him? Or are you driven by greed, fear, or the love of money? *"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:9-10, WEB). Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Practically, we encourage you to:
1. **Pray without ceasing**—ask God for wisdom, direction, and provision.
2. **Seek godly counsel**—talk to mature believers who can offer biblical insight and practical advice.
3. **Start small and be faithful**—Luke 16:10 (WEB) reminds us, *"He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much."*
4. **Work diligently**—*"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might"* (Ecclesiastes 9:10, WEB).
5. **Trust God’s timing**—His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before Your throne of grace, asking that You would meet them in their need. Lord, if this business is Your will, we pray that You would make the path clear and provide the necessary resources in Your perfect timing. Give them wisdom to plan, discernment to recognize Your leading, and patience to wait on You. Protect them from the love of money and the snare of greed, and instead, fill them with a heart that seeks first Your kingdom. If there is any area of their life that is not aligned with Your Word, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Father, we ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that would lead them astray. May this business, if it is Your will, be a means of blessing not only to them but to others, and may it bring glory to Your name.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or impatience that would seek to derail Your plan. We declare that You, Lord, are their Provider, and they shall lack no good thing as they walk in obedience to You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that they ask or think.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
