We hear the desperation in your cry, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle, for the Word of God assures us that *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your acknowledgment of Jesus in your plea is a testament to your faith, and we commend you for it—this is the foundation of your victory.
The devil comes as a thief to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly. What you are experiencing is not from God, but from the enemy who seeks to sift you like wheat. Yet even in this, take heart, for Jesus has prayed for you, just as He prayed for Peter: *"Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers"* (Luke 22:31-32, WEB). Your faith will not fail because Jesus intercedes for you even now.
You have confessed the sins of lust, greed, and pride—this is the first step toward freedom. The Bible tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Repentance is your weapon, and God’s forgiveness is your shield. These sins you mention are not who you are in Christ; they are the old nature that has been crucified with Him. *"We know that our old self was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin"* (Romans 6:6, WEB). You are a new creation, and the Holy Spirit is at work in you to will and to do His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
The feeling of wanting to be "normal" is understandable, but we must remember that in Christ, we are not called to be "normal" by the world’s standards—we are called to be holy, set apart for His purposes. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB). Your desire for wholeness is godly, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
As for the losses you’ve endured, we grieve with you, but we also remind you that *"we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal"* (2 Corinthians 4:18, WEB). What the enemy means for harm, God will use for good (Genesis 50:20). Your soul is secure in Christ, and no scheme of the devil can snatch you from His hand (John 10:28-29).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are his/her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Lord, You see the battles raging around him/her—the spiritual attacks, the temptations of lust, greed, and pride, the feelings of despair and loss. But we declare that *"greater is he who is in [him/her] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). We stand in the authority of Jesus’ name and rebuke every scheme of the devil. Satan, you have no place here—you are bound and silenced in Jesus’ name. Every stronghold of sin, every lie of the enemy, every spirit of despair and hopelessness, we command you to flee now in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we ask that You fill every empty place in his/her life with Your presence. Where there has been loss, bring restoration. Where there has been brokenness, bring healing. Where there has been sin, bring conviction, repentance, and freedom. Cleanse his/her heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him/her (Psalm 51:10). Clothe him/her with Your armor—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that he/she may stand firm against every attack (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Lord, we pray for godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Break the chains of lust, greed, and pride, and replace them with a hunger for righteousness, a heart of generosity, and a spirit of humility. Let him/her experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the joy that comes from Your presence.
Father, surround him/her with Your angels, encamped around those who fear You (Psalm 34:7). Lead him/her to a community of believers who will walk alongside him/her in this season—people who will speak life, pray fervently, and point him/her to Jesus. Give him/her the strength to resist the devil, knowing that when he flees, You will draw near (James 4:7-8).
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful. You will not allow him/her to be tempted beyond what he/she can bear, but will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We trust You to complete the work You’ve begun in him/her, and we declare that he/she will emerge from this season stronger, wiser, and more dependent on You than ever before.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Brother/sister, we urge you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105, WEB). The more you fill your mind with Scripture, the less room there is for the enemy’s lies. Memorize verses that combat the specific temptations you face. For lust, meditate on *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB) and *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB).
For greed, remind yourself that *"the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil"* (1 Timothy 6:10, WEB) and that *"godliness with contentment is great gain"* (1 Timothy 6:6, WEB). For pride, cling to *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6, WEB) and *"don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to think"* (Romans 12:3, WEB).
Also, we strongly encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled, held accountable, and encouraged. Isolation is a breeding ground for the enemy’s attacks, but *"though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12, WEB). If you are struggling to find a church, we can help guide you in how to search for one that aligns with Scripture.
Lastly, if you have not already, surrender every area of your life to Jesus—your past, present, and future. He is not just your Savior but your Lord, and He longs to lead you into abundant life. If you ever feel overwhelmed, cry out to Him as you have done now. He hears you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
You are not alone in this fight. We are standing with you, and more importantly, Jesus is standing with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Victory is yours in Christ!
