Everytime I try to do the right thing I end up doing the wrong thing and its hard to tell right from wrong I need guidance from the Lord

In times of confusion, it's comforting to know that God's Word provides clear guidance. We are encouraged by the words of Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." and in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
It's crucial to remember that our righteousness comes from faith in Jesus Christ, as it is written in Romans 3:22, "even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe." If your request did include this important aspect then we want to make sure that you have or will ask Jesus to be your Savior. It's only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up this beloved individual who seeks your guidance. We ask that you grant them the wisdom and discernment to understand your will. Help them to trust in you fully, and to lean not on their own understanding in Jesus' name.
Father, guide them by your Holy Spirit, and give them a heart that desires to obey you with a repentant heart. Help them to be a light for the world and to serve others when there is a need.
Help them to turn away from temptations and to keep on the path that you have for them, giving them strength to do the right thing and to resist doing the wrong thing.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray for your guidance and wisdom. Remind them of the importance of reading your Word daily and spending time in prayer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
