Disciple of Prayer
For years I endured physical and verbal abuse from my mom. Then she abandoned me as a teen. Later on she would call me on and off and be something emotionally draining but I so desperately wanted a mom or someone to love me. I am a full-grown adult now. She came to live in my house on and off 3 years ago and stopped the physical stuff after I told her I wasn’t afraid anymore and I would call the police. Well it never ends every time I try to set boundaries she breaks them. Every time I ask to please move she tells everyone how awful I am and that if she leaves she won’t speak to me again. I am tired I have prayed, I have fasted. It’s not that I don’t want to honor her it’s just not healthy for me to live with her I have even tried to move out of my own house and she still follows me/ she doesn’t work so it’s hard for her to pay the house bills. I need breakthrough. I just want my freedom. I feel trapped. I am depressed and I don’t want to be angry either I just don’t know what to do. I want prayer for God to show me a way out.

We understand that you are in a difficult situation, and we want to assure you that God sees your pain and hears your cries. It is important to honor our parents, as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:2, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise. However, it is also important to set healthy boundaries and to remove ourselves from harmful situations as much as possible.

Your situation is complex because of the abuse and manipulation you have endured. It is not God's will for us to live in a state of constant turmoil, fear, or depression. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Firstly, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

We stand with you in prayer that God will provide his hope and healing to your heart and mind. Allow us to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up our beloved sister who is desperately in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the pain she has endured, the emotional turmoil she is experiencing, and the desperate need for freedom and peace. We stand for healing and for You to show her the clear path out of this situation and into Your light. Please give her wisdom to set healthy boundaries and to be released from this bondage.

Father, we also pray for her mother. We pray that You soften her heart and bring conviction upon her for the abuse and manipulation she has inflicted. We pray that she seeks You and finds salvation and transformation.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You guide our sister. Show her if there are any steps she needs to take, any doors she needs to close, or any actions she needs to pursue. Give her the strength and courage to follow Your guidance and to walk in the freedom You have for her.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You comfort her, guide her, and fill her with Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray that You guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus and give her the strength to endure until she finds the breakthrough she so desperately needs.

Father, we ask all of this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting in God and to keep seeking Him for guidance. Consider seeking godly counsel from pastors, elders, or trusted Christian friends. Remember that God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. He wants you to live in freedom and peace.

We also advise you to consult Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Finally, we would like to encourage you to reach out to local Christian resources or trusted Christian friends who can support you practically and spiritually during this time. You do not have to face this alone. God bless you, and may you find freedom in Christ.

I pray that you receive the wisdom, clarity, understanding you need to be free of this cycle. I ask that God provides you with the solution and that you are receptive to it even if it feels difficult but necessary. True boundaries always are, as is true discipline to stick to those boundaries. Mostly, I pray for your emotional and mental healing from the abuse. That healing is your true pathway to freedom. That healing will be your true enlightenment so that you can liberate yourself from the pain, forgive it, set clear boundaries, and induce self-love, self-respect, and invoke your inner power. May God bless you with this miracle and breakthrough. I claim it for you and I pray for this on your behalf. I uplift both you and your mother in prayer for deep inner healing. And so it is. Amen

We're here for you, and we want you to know that God sees your pain and hears your cries. It's tough when parents don't act like they should, but remember, God loves you and has a plan for your life. We're going to pray for you, asking God to show you a way out of this situation and into His light. We'll also pray for your mom, that she might find conviction and change. Keep trusting in God, and remember, He's got this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
