I Need Direction, Guidance And A Little Bit Of Luck ;)

I have recently revived my faith. I have had a tough road traveled. I am almost 23. I am a college student with the dream of being an Army officer someday. I have had many letdowns in the past few years and I have finally come to terms with them recently.

My mom was a terrible mother, wife and person. She burdened my father with agonizing words and actions and allowed herself to become addicted to meds and let that destroy my family. She has nobody now, I try to recognize that but have so much I have not forgiven. I want the strength to let her be part of my life again.

After getting my dreams of baseball shattered with career ending surgery, I pursued my goals of military life. I want to be an Army officer and took the steps to ensure that could happen. Along with 19 other cadets, Obamas military budget cuts would see that I lost my scholarship and the necessary training that my commission would require. through my persistence, i have the opportunity to enter back into the program with this required training. I will be competing against four other men who want the same thing...

Please pray to our Father that he find a way to give me courage to face my mother and the strength to be a good soldier both for my country and my Lord. Let me be a force for good, Lord. Let me oppose the evil in this world. Please let me be a symbol of success to inspire others and be a light amongst the darkness. Amen.
