I need as many prayers over my relationship with my partner... things don’t seem to get any better, he has been emotionally broken since his Mom's passing and I feel so hopeless. I do not know what to do to comfort him or help him gain acceptance. This is tearing our relationship apart.

Please Lord I beg you that you restore and renew our love to be mutual and to stay and grow stronger. I need us both to value each other and to not focus on each other’s flaws. Please allow my fiancé to see how much he’s hurting me by his actions and how I don’t deserve to be treated the way I am being treated by him, especially when he builds stuff in his own head that’s not true. Lord you know well I haven’t done anything but to stay true and faithful to him with all respect, but yet he treats me as if I am the worst. Lord hold him, love him and give him the comfort he needs. I lift him up to you because I don’t know what to do anymore to help him and help us.

Maybe You could separate from him and tell him politely that it hurts You so much how he treats You and that you cannot stand IT any more. That you know what he is going through and you have tried to help him and BE his support but now it's time for him to see if You are the one for him or not. Say to him: maybe I am not....Ask him, how much time you need to think it through? If he doesn't give you an answer then you give him 1, 2, 3, 6 months....

If You are not able to do this then try to make yourself happy and start to do more things that you love, go out more with your friends and less with your fiancée. Do more things in the church, pray more, help others more. Maybe he will love You more if You show him that you CAN live without him. Don't feel guilt about it. Men are like that. They are catchers and we are the prey. Don't let him treat you like you are his mother or best friend who will suffer anything. You are the queen (inheritor of the King Jesus) and you deserve to be treated like royalty), a daughter of God deserves the best. You don't deserve to be treated like that no matter what. You deserve respect. The marriage should be a shelter in this world. You should be a sufficient support in joy or sorrow, in sickness or in health. If something bad happens later in your marriage, do you want to go through it again?

All the time you can pray for him and for your relationship, and for God to show you two if this relationship is from God. God bless you and give you strength to do the right thing.
